Great move by the saints front office Vilma will fit in there very nicely now all they need is an adequate DB and id say barring injury to a major player, they will definitly be a playoff team this season

Great move by the Saints. It makes up for them losing out on Zach Thomas. Not sure what to think about it for the Jets. It depends on what the pick end up being.

too bad they are in the same division as the Flacons i believe Hall would be a great addition for them but it will NEVER happen.

As long as it's not their first round pick, they should be fine. Tons of great Corner backs in the draft this year and all of them look good in Saints Uniform.

It's a conditional draft pick in 2009 based on Vilma's play and health, according to ESPN Radio--could be a 2nd, could be a 7th

It's only for a 4th rounder(or 3rd if he does well.) I think the jets could have at least gotten a guaranteed 3rd rounder for him possibly second.

Vilma is a high character guy, so I like that he is going to New Orleans. They are going to love him, no nonsense and big hitter and will be amazing in that defense. Though as far as the return, I have to wait to see what the actual return is.

It's said to now be a 4th round pick in 2008 and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2009.

Vilma doesn't fit in the 3-4.. he has wanted out of that system for a few years.

Great trade for the Saints, definitely a steal for a Pro Bowl caliber player.
