Big Ben signs Extension with Steelers

ESPN - Ben Roethlisberger has agreed to terms on a new eight-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers that will pay him $102 million, according to ESPN.com's Michael Smith.

The deal includes $36 million in guarantees and is the largest of its kind in franchise history.

Roethlisberger joins the $100 million club with fellow quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre, Carson Palmer and Michael Vick. [READ]

I think it's a great deal for the Steelers, he is arguably a top 5 QB in the league, only 26 years old and hasn't even hit his prime yet. With out a doubt going to be an elite QB for years to come. 5-2 record in the playoffs, and is among the leaders in amount of 4th quarter comebacks over the past 4 years. I think the Steelers would've been stupid not to do this.

NFL players on average, are the lowest paid i believe, than all of the other sports. about time.
