Besides the big mouth and entertainment factor, its not even close and thre are plenty of players in every league who are as entertaining as Chad. It doesn't make perfect sense.

The question in my mind is, if Chad was allowed his little showmanship in the endzone, would that satisfy his need for the spotlight enough that he wouldnt have had to lash out at teammates and his coach?

Its really interesting to me... as the dances went down, it seemed Chad's fun factor went down, and it affected his play eventually, and now it's affecting him as a "year round" player.

Basically... if the NFL let Chad and others do their little harmless dances, and only fining the people who crossed the line (TO running to midfield), would this have happened? Can't say for sure either way... but I honestly dont think we'd be in this situation if he were allowed to do that...

I was going more for the latter, the entertainment and loudmouth honesty factors. Plus the fact that they are both outstanding individual talents that don't always fit real well into a team dynamic. Not a lot of combined playoff success there either.

Eh I really dont want to hijack this thread but saying Gilbert doesn't fit well into a team dynamic is totally false. Its a false image created by the media only because Gilbert is a scoring PG and apparently if you aren't a pass first player, the notion for such players becomes as if they are detrimental to their teams success.

As far as playoff success, Gilbert has made it to the NBA playoffs twice in his career and advanced to the 2nd round once and in the other was absolutely phenominal.

The only comparison is that they both make incredibly stupid predictions about personal or team success.

Yeah I like both Chad and Gilbert and I think they have that whole standpoint of being entertainers on top of being athletes which I enjoy.
