SportsBusiness Daily is reporting that Brett Favre will be the cover athlete for the upcoming "Madden NFL 09," video game.

Yes, the curse is being put to the test. In an completely unrelated story Brett Favre fell off his tractor and died today.

though all day Adrian Peterson did make a case for this year
but AD has way more time than favre to be on the cover anyway

Hopefully this means they bring a feature in that use to be in the 2K series: luring players out of retirement.

It'll be pretty weird not being able to play as the guy on the cover.
Maybe if you pick the Packers for franchise mode, they'll give you Favre updates.... like "Favre mowed his lawn and took a dump today. Deanna says hi."
