Looking to get back into the fourth round of this weekend's NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys on Friday traded linebacker Akin Ayodele and tight end Anthony Fasano to the Miami Dolphins for a fourth-round pick, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

This can turn out to be a steal for the Dolphins.

WTF?!

What are we doing?!

Why would we trade Ayodele and Fasano for a 4th?

Thanks to Jerry Jones. He's making Miami's offseason, single handedly...

This was a pretty bad trade for the Cowboys in my opinion, but the thing that keeps popping into my head is that maybe they trying to get more picks so that they can use them to trade up for Mcfadden? I don't even know.

Good trade for Miami, no idea why Dallas did that, maybe Bobby Carpenter is finally blosoming () in an unrelated note, Akin Ayodele owns a restaurant close to my house and it sucks.

ok Fasano but why Ayodele??

I hope their draft plan is something good.

It's for cap space. Cowboys are still trying to trade for a veteran WR. Akin's spot was gone as soon as Zach Thomas signed on the dotted line. Cowboys are also high on Tony Curtis. He looks like a legit backup to Mr. Witten.

whats his restaurant called?

anyways, not a great trade by dallas but at least we get the 1st pick of the 4th round so its like a 3rd rounder, we could use that to trade up in the 2nd or 3rd maybe even 1st

plus im pretty sure ayodele was gone as someone mentioned once zach thomas signed, he was likely to be a june 1 casualty. big f*ck u to big bill though, what a waste of a pick fasano was. his last draft with us is looking like a huge bust

i heard somewhere that dallas may save about 7 million in cap space b/c of this, if thats the case i could really see something big happening in tomorrows draft. it makes me slightly nervous b/c i dont want to lose both 1st rounders

This is maybe a preliminary trade for my 'Boys. Fasano is a Parcells pick who had little need here and I'm surprised we're giving Bobby Carpenter the shot over Akin - salary? But, I feel like y'all are undervaluing the first pick of the fourth round. There are going to be teams that look at that pick in a good light when paired with a 3rd and a first for a WR. ;)

Fasano looks great in one game a year. The rest of the time you dont even know hes on the roster.
I dont really like the Ayodele inclusion though. It seems to indicate the cowboys are fine with relying on Zach Thomas more than they should. Its also disappointing we couldnt pawn off Bobby Carpenter on them somehow. I like the pick though. It opens a lot more possibilities than Ayodele and Fasano would have.
I agree with Stud though, giving up both firsts to get McFadden (or anyone in this draft really) would be a very bad idea.

I have a feeling Mr. Jones did this to bolster up a package for the 1st Round. I really think he's going to take a shot at getting McFadden, despite him denying that for the last three months.

BTW, did anyone catch this, if they read the Wiretap's report:

The Dallas Morning News - The Cowboys have dealt linebacker Akin Ayodele and tight end Sal Fasano to the Dolphins for a fourth-round pick in Saturday's NFL Draft, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Thanks for the laugh, Wiretap.

i think ayodele was a cap casualty anyways

we had a logjam at ILB, now this will open up more playing time for kevin burnett and maybe we'll see if bobby carpenter has a little something

Anthony Fasano could really make some noise in South Beach now that he's not behind Jason Witten.

Really like this trade for the Dolphins and I've loved what Ireland and Parcells have been building that team.

They are two good drafts away from be a solid football team.
