Did you ask if he was a HOFer? The only question that should be asked is whether or not he is a first ballot HOFer & even then I don't see how you say no.

Happy trails, Mikey. The gap you leave at the end of the line (and in my heart) is almost as big as the one in your teeth.
Of course he's a HOF'er. He meets every criteria wanted in a hall of fame player: master of his position, holds records (both team and league), he's got a ring, and he's a leader.
Its pretty funny how (barring a comeback by either) Stray and Brett Favre will enter the HOF in the same class, since Mike got the sack record with Favre's "help".
I wonder how happy John Runyan is right now...

He's only a HOFer because of setting the sack record?
I just watched his retirement presser, and I just became really sad. Mikey was my favorite player for 15 years of my life, because he was the Giant of my generation, my first jersey, and the first player I ever got an autograph from.
I'm going to miss him a lot.

I said first ballot. I didnt say he shouldnt be in the HOF, im just saying without the single season record the topic of first ballot wouldnt even come up.
Who really knows though? They really miss the boat so to speak on getting some guys in there right away.
