Post#1 » by HDMAVS760CA » Mon Jun 9, 2008 9:21 pm

It was reported on the ESPN bottom line. Bears release Pacman, er Cedric Benson. Smart move by the Bears. Now he can go get plastered & arrested anytime he wants now.

Which Texas team will sign him? Dallas? Houston?

The positive is that some negative baggage has been removed. However, the team has now loss some depth and need one of their backs to step their level of play up. Who's going to do it? Does rookie Matt Forte have a shot?

All indications are that Forte will start for the Bears.

Forte has a shot, but I'd rather we sign either Alexander or Kevin Jones.

Right now,I don't view our RB depth as worse than it was before.I view it more of the same.

Benson was hot garbage.Had no faith in him since day 1.Glad he sped up the process, and eliminated himself from the team,to save us the embarrassment of suiting him up in a Bears uniform.

Forte should start. Peterson is a solid backup, but we should definitely get someone better if we are starting a rookie.

Even the HB we end up waiving would be a guy Id take over Benson. The guy is garbage, and im not even factoring in this offseason either.

(FWIW, I'm assuming Keon Lattimore will likely get waived even though they like him alot. I dont know if they can really keep 4 HBs along with a FB or two, and they really like Ronnie Cruz and Deon Anderson at FB.)
Ray Lewis's Half-Brother (Lattimore)>>> Benson

Maybe Benson can go to Seattle, they seem to like huge busts at RB, and they have a knack for drunks there too.
