Which Coaches need to make the playoffs this season to keep their jobs?

I'm not sure if Brad Childress is in the hot seat with Zigi Wilf... .but he's in the Hot Seat with the fans. He's made numerous game time decision that cost them the game, now no coach can win without talent which is why Chilly is still around because in the past the Vikings really haven't had a talented roster. This year however the Owner has opened his check book and the Vikes are stacked all over the place. Probably the best RB duo in the league, probably the best DL in the league, and now the offense has weapons in Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian... so it's all up to Childress and how he coaches Tavaris Jackson this season. TJacks season will say alot to the success of Minnesota.

^ yeah I totally agree. If Minny somehow struggles I see Childress getting the axe.

Obviously Mike Nolan in SF. Almost got canned this year, and hasn't shown much of a vision or progress so far. Also has a bad relationship with our "franchise" QB, but I'd rather get rid of Smith before I get rid of Nolan.

Marvin Lewis and Brad Childress would appear to be on the hottest seats, but I wonder about the temperature of Scott Linehan's seat as well.

Yeah that's who I was thinking also, I was surprised only one other person brought him up.
His owner has been trying to get rid of him and is looking for any excuse to let him go, so he definitely needs to get in the playoffs, especially after all the new talent they brought in and the huge money spent.

From my latest article:
6. What coaches are feeling the heat the most?
John Fox in Carolina barely survived the 2007 season, according to some sources. If they’re not 4-4 or better entering their bye, he probably won’t see the end of the season. Wade Phillips in Dallas needs to win a playoff game or two especially with successor-in-waiting Jason Garrett standing next to him. Marvin Lewis in Cincy, Brad Childress in Minnesota, and Jon Gruden in Tampa might want to keep their houses in selling condition too.
Lane Kiffin belongs on the list too, through no fault of his own. Scott Linehan probably gets a pass from ownership on last season with all the injuries and turmoil. So long as they're not worse than about 5-11 he will probably stick.
Lovie Smith should be on the hot seat but it appears he is pretty secure.
Regarding Marvin Lewis:
I give him a lot of crap for being an alleged defensive guru presiding over a consistently awful defense, but the more I get to know people in and around that team, the more I come to the understanding of just how difficult his situation truly is. I would bet he walks away before they fire him.

Wade Phillips will get canned when the Cowboys choke once again and fail to win a playoff game.

Andy Reid. Especially when everyone thought he would step down in Philadelphia because of his sons problems. And the Eagles underachieving, at best, after the Super Bowl trip in '04. Philly better get their act together.
And Lane Kiffin should've gotten fired this year. Let's see if the Oakland Raiders can win more than 5 games this season.

I think Andy Reid is one of those coaches that will never actually get "fired" by their particular organization (like Tony Dungy, Marvin Lewis or even Lovie Smith). It would take a big pair of trouser melons to fire the big man.
