: Favre asks for release.

Post#1 » by m23uza1hem36 » Fri Jul 11, 2008 7:42 pm

Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting Brett Favres agent has sent a letter to the Green Bay Packers asking for his unconditional release.

He says that the Packers organization has now known for 1 month that Brett Favre would like to return, he says there was never any good or clear communication between both sides which has now led to Brett Favre asking for his release.

Mortensen also reports he's seen Brett Favre working out at a HS in his hometown and he looks great and that he's in "Brett Favre" shape.

Wow, any takers? If he is released.

Are you kidding? theres going be a ton of takers. And three of them are in the same divison as the packers. This is going be fun to watch. The packers will trade him and to the afc though i'm sure.

I think There would be more interest in the nfc though. The afc elite teams are loaded with good QB's and favre is not going play for a bum team.

I guess the bills, ravens, jets, could be canditates but none of them are realy that good i guess the jets could be the most improved but they were horrible last year when i thought they would be a lot better.

^^
You got to wonder, if he does play another year I'm sure it's his last, with that being said it's sort of like the Jason Taylor situation how much talent or how high of a draft pick is a team willing to give for a 1-year rental.

If the Packers were smart, they would be happy to oblige.

Come to Minnesota, Brett. You can hand the ball off all day to our boy All Day Adrian Peterson, and don't have to worry about facing our defense.

Green Bay can't release him. He'd take his services to one of the division rivals and that can't be allowed to happen.

Well, actually, it could be allowed to happen.

What on earth would make you believe that he wants to go to Miami? Other than the senior citizen angle.

For some reason, I'd like it if he'd go to the NFC South. It would be crazy to see him in a different uniform though..

Madden curse awaits.

Seriously Brett Favre is the most selfish player alive. He has been hindering Rodgers development for the last 2 seasons and now he tells them he wants to be released after they gave him pretty much free reign to hinder Rodgers development. Seriously as RandomHero said **** that pretty boy ****.

For some reason, I thought about Jacksonville being a good fit for Brett. Who knows whether or not Garrard will be able to take complete control of this team.

Tampa Bay or Oakland are the two teams that I expect to see. As far anybody who is upset at Favre I really don't understand where you are coming from. He's been the better QB to Rodgers, he hasn't hindered Rodgers at all. And to be honest if Green Bay was smart they would let Favre beat out Rodgers again.
