http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingc ... id=3516068This is crazy. He is obviously in a very bad time in his life. Thankfully Al Davis convinced him to play football and stay with the team. If it wasn't for football he would continue his decline in his life.

Im not sure about that, it seems to just be more stress for him. Maybe taking time off and finally talking to someone about his problems would do something for him. But in order for that to happen he'd need to stop isolating people that were very close to him, and open up about things, which he doesnt seem ready to do yet.

This is so bizarre, Al Davis was given a great chance to get out of a huge contract with an injured player who has no desire to play the game, and he says no.
It's never a good thing when an owner has to talk a player of retirement that they just signed to a huge contract, hopefully it works out for them.
