As I, fellow Giant fan.
I gave 'em 10 wins in the prediction thread, good enough for the #5 seed, in my book.

From my prediction piece:
Prediction: I’ve picked the Giants as the last place team in the NFC East two years running even though in this very space last year I espoused that Tom Coughlin was the perfect coach for this team. It’s always hard to tell how a team handles unexpected success, but once again Coughlin is probably a great fit for that too. So this year I’m going to bite the bullet and predict success for the Giants--a 10-6 finish, and a team capable of running the table in the playoffs. That probably means they’ll follow the blueprint of the 2006 Pittsburgh Steelers, who followed up an improbable Super Bowl run with an 8-8 or even 7-9 season marked with QB issues and overly optimistic expectations that fall short of the playoffs. Neither result will surprise me.
Note that I'm still quite skeptical of Eli Manning.

11-5
Pro bowlers: Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Antonio Pierce, Plaxico Burress
Rookie Defensive Player of the Year: Kenny Phillips
Steve Smith breaks out and cements himself as the #2 receiver, and Kiwanuka is moved back to DE by week 4.
Of course I'm a bit too optimistic....

Do you mean for the team or the whole league?
Because watching him in one of the Giants pre season games, I'd say he has a very good chance of winning the
NFL Defensive rookie of the year.

I second that one

Yeah it's preseason but David Diehl got his ass eaten up by Calvin Pace tonight.

Anywhere from 9-7 to 11-5. I predicted 11-5 but a playoff berth is all I want. I want Osi to not miss regular season time either.
Someone call Strahan....

Around 10 wins, and I think Kiwanuka should be moved back to DE now that Osi's down.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3551499says osi's out for the year, this will allow teams to key even more on tuck
i already was going to predict the giants to miss the PO's, this pretty much cements it

Not good news but by no means season ending for the team.
9-7
Regardless, the Dallas Cowboy's playoff win drought will continue.

Losing Osi was a stinger and could hurt the Giants, I think they lost 4 starters on that D to either trade, free agency, or injuries. I really like their offense with their 3 headed monster at runningback with Brashaw, Jacobs and Ward. Their receivers are good with Plax, Toomer, and Smith, and Eli needs to be the playoff Eli in the regualr season.
I see them finishing 2nd in the division and probably 8-8 or 9-7.

Without Osi its going to be a tough road to double digits. I'll take the under on 9.5, over on 8.5.

No way they finish second with an 8-8 or 9-7 record, especially in that division, Washington and Philly will surely claim second and third if they end up 8-8.

I don't know why Eagles overrating has become chic. McNabb is the Yao Ming on the NBA - sure, if he could stay healthy till the post season maybe things could happen, but what are the chances of that? I'll be surprised if the Eagles don't finish 4th in the division, even if that's with a 7-9 or 8-8 record. This is the time of year where people confuse fantasy studs with NFL wins, so maybe Westbrook is confusing people. idk.

Even before the Osi injury, I had NY going 8-8 and missing the playoffs.
I'll say the same, but maybe 7 wins now.
