Vince Young doesn't want to play football anymore?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The mother of Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young said he's "hurting inside and out" and indicated he might not want to play football any longer.

Felicia Young said in Wednesday editions of The Tennessean that her son is tired of all of the negativity he's faced after being booed during a 17-10 win Sunday over Jacksonville.

"What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do? What kind of decision would you make?" Felicia Young said. "He may not want to deal with it [all], but you have to get to that point before you make that decision first.

"But we're not talking about football right now. We're talking about what would make him happy, and that is the most important thing."

"Being happy" isn't the most important thing when you're getting paid like he's getting paid.

He's a weaker mental midget version of Rex Grossman

Not only does he suck as a player but he is a mental midget! Injuries, struggling and boos are a part of the game!

What are you saying 'he sucks as a player'?

When he's on, he has the talent to make an impact with the likes of Brady and Manning.

Ryan Leaf, when he's on, has the talent to make an impact with the likes of Brady and Manning. Problem is he was never on. Same with Young.

Even though I am a UT fan, I never did like VY as a player, and person.
I'm glad the Titans drafted him and we didnt.

He should just go ahead and retire....the way he scrambles around all the time he is gonna have an injury riddled career anyway....maybe the girly man could go pro in bowling or something that he could emotionally handle

He scrambles?

Maybe that's why I don't like him. I prefer over easy.

No, no it isn't. When you sign that contract and you have so much money invested in you by the franchise and the fans, you owe it to them to play through your hurt feelings.

It was a year and a half ago when everyone was ridiculing the Texans for taking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush and Vince Young.

What a turn of events.
