Porter: Broncos' Marshall Is 'Soft'

Denver Post - Dolphins' linebacker Joey Porter thinks that Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall is 'soft'.

Miami defeated Denver 26-17 on Sunday.

"He's one of those soft receivers where he has to have the ball all the time. If he don't get it, he's going to mope and cry," Porter said Sunday.

Marshall had just two catches for 27 yards in the loss.

"We got in his head, and he pretty much was done," said Porter.

Marshall quickly bolted off the field and into the stadium tunnel at the conclusion of the game.

"I'm definitely disappointed," admitted Marshall. "Definitely frustrated." [READ]

“Joey Porter’s one of those guys, when you’ve got guys who talk a lot of trash and want to talk about people or put people down, they have their own insecurities. His insecurities, I don’t know,” Marshall said.

“But he’s definitely one of those guys who all those muscles are popcorn muscles. He’s soft. We hear stories floating around the league all the time about him, as far as him being in nightclubs, dancing with his shirt off like a girl, or in the playground getting beat up back in California,” Marshall added. “He’s one of those guys that no matter how big he is, he can still get knocked on his butt. He’s soft. And you can tell the way he’s talking. His nickname’s ‘Peezy’. I don’t know what ‘Peezy’ is, Joey.”

first of all, we suck..I know that..we give other teams wins every week with our unforced turnovers, and our defense is terrible..so I acknowledge that we suck, trust me..

the Dolphins were given a win by the refs, just like Jacksonville got..the league is clearly making up for Denver receiving the Hochuli call, as they've now cost us 2 wins..the Jacksonville game especially, which had 2 phantom calls that made the announcers angry and was even mentioned in the associated press recaps..

Marshall beat a Dolphins corner and got called for one of the worst offensive PI calls I've ever seen, because Miami's corner flopped..Marshall being punished because he's a big guy..complete bull, and it would have given us a 17-16 lead, and surely changed the outcome of the game..the next play was a Cutler INT that gave the Dolphins a 19-10 lead..

if they let that Marshall play go, which they should have, Brandon ends up with a 100 yards and a TD, and nobody talks about this..

Did you read Porter's comments? He was saying he was soft in the sense that he will whine if he doesn't get the ball. Not that he was soft on the field, which from what I have seen of him he absolutely is not.
