Buzz Up PrintASHBURN, VIRGINIA (TICKER) —The Washington Redskins are ensuring that the memory of the late Sean Taylor will not be forgotten.

The Redskins on Wednesday revealed plans to induct Taylor into the franchise’s Ring of Fame.

The ceremony to honor the two-time Pro Bowl safety will be held prior to the Redskins’ contest against the New York Giants on November 30.

The date is symbolic, coming just over one year after Taylor was murdered in a bungled burglary attempt at his home in Miami on November 27, 2007.

“It’s appropriate that Sean joins our Ring of Fame after a stellar career cut short far too soon,” Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder said. “His life touched so many of us in such deep and lasting ways. His presence is all around us, in our organization and among our fans.”

Taylor will be the 43rd member admitted into the Ring of Fame, and the first since Gary Clark in October 2007.

The fifth overall pick of the Redskins in 2004 following a stellar career at Miami, Taylor amassed 306 tackles, 12 interceptions and two sacks in three-plus seasons.
