I agree, The Patriots are playing as well as any team in the AFC right now

Jets offense can only get scarier. Game today wasn't even close. The Jets left 14 points easily on the field.

They punched the Titans in the mouth and when the Titans tried to come back up, they stomped them out.

Very nice win for the Jets. Still think Brett has a meltdown in the playoffs, so I won't be putting any money on the Jets for the SB.

The Titans were due. The Jets aren't THAT good.

So they just happened to roll into Tennessee and slaughter a 10-0 team known for a dominant defense and not be that good?

Jets do two things better then most teams in the league which are key elements to winning games in January. They shut down the run, and run the rock extremely good.

Defining moment of this game was the Titans had some momentum near midfield I believe and it was a 3rd and 1. The Rock handed off to Lendale Big Bad White, and SMACK, he met Kris Jenkins for a loss of 1.

Jenkins was the best player on either team, on both sides of the ball this game.

This is what Jenkins talked about in his post game. People and teams around the NFL need to start respecting the Jets as a contender.

Indeed.

Jets fans will soon know the pain of witnessing a Favre playoff meltdown. His OT throw last year wasn't necessarily stupid, but just a poor throw. He did however have an INT earlier in that game where he just chucked it up for grabs, much like the OT throw vs. PHI in the 4th and 26 game. So you'll either get one of those or he'll completely crap the bed and have a 6 INT gem like the STL playoff game.

Every team has a bad game. Jets were hot, Titans were struggling a bit. Still a big win, but I don't think it's as big a statement as some are making it out to be.

the problem with a team like the titans is there offense is built to play with a lead, an offense like that will always struggle to win when they fall down big early (and they did today) they cant pass the ball consistently enough. so you pounce on them early if you're a good team there fate is likely sealed. would've happened last week but the jags are embarrassing themselves this year

I saw this coming. (I picked Jets to win in pick up thread) Why?

Because they had a game on Thursday, so in theory they had more days to prepare than the Titans, especially with the added hype of it being the UNDEFEATED Titans.

The Jets are not a bad team.

QFT

The Jets are a good team, no doubt, they’re just a very inconsistent* team. The previous week a nearly full-strength Jets teams needed a random outcome of a coin flip to beat a half-strength Patriots team in overtime after running all over them for the first half. This week they convincingly disassemble one of the best teams in the AFC.

They’re definitely not one of the three best teams in the AFC. Top five, possibly.

*For those of you with pocket calculators, the Jets are 28th in the league in variance, according to Football Outsiders.

Sorry, but having watched Favre and cheered him on a lot longer than you will, I wouldn't get THAT excited. He played so well last year too, only to choke a game away from the Super Bowl. So, until he leads the Jets to a Super Bowl and wins it all, bring yourself back to Earth just a little bit.

Great, great win no doubt though. Just don't get too arrogant.

Don't get too excited. Titans hadn't played their worst game yet. This was definitely their worst game of the season. I don't think anyone expected Tennessee to go undefeated throughout the season, and I think a lot of people expected the Titans to lose this one on the combination of, them not having played their worst game, the Jets being on a hot streak, and the Jets overall not being a good matchup for the Titans.

Phyiscal coverage by the corners led to a lot of drops by the wideouts for Tennessee, but as they get Chris Johnson more and more burn at the WR, the passing game should get better.

As the defense gets healthier and rested, the Titans should be in good shape for the playoffs.

BTW, I still have a giant man-crush on Cortland.

their gameplan sucked, they shouldve gave the ball more to lendale white. in those type of games, you play tight to the vest and ball control. with a weakened defense, you dont send them out there for more opportunities to get PIs. the best defense against the jets? keep brett farve on the sideline.

Of course last week when the pats did not play on sunday the games sucked, But when they do play on sunday, there were other games that I would have liked to watch as well.

The madden cover boy curse is waiting in the wings. Favre will make a mess up. Book it. Very glad though that the jets, phins, and before there own little meltdown Bills are all competitive this year. Makes the AFC east match-ups a lot more fun to watch.

The JETS win back to back away games against the toughest opponents in the AFC and Win, and still the hate is there. I can't wait for the Jets to play these teams again and prove everyone wrong again.

Exactly. I think teams are starting to find a way to beat Tennessee. You go back to that Chicago game (which they should have won) and the Jaguar game (which they should have won), and now the Jets.

That is completely false the score might have been close 21-14 but the Titans were up 21-7 with 5 mins left or something like that I wouldn't say they deserve to win or should of won that game. On the Jags game yes they were up 14-3 but they were completely shut down in the 2nd half so I wouldn't say they should of won but they had there opportunities.
