Larry Johnson - I want out of Kansas City

What type of value should Kansas City expect?
Kansas City running back Larry Johnson was so unhappy after the team's season-ending loss to Cincinnati that he signaled an end to his run with the team.
"It has everything to do with the environment," Johnson said. "The city is tired of me, and the organization and I have run our course together. It's time to move on for me. There could be 100 changes. It's time for me to go."

Not value equal to LJ's talent that's for sure. Maybe a late draft pick? Something like that I'd expect. LJ is a big question mark really. His talent is there, but his attitude is pretty bad.

I put his value somewhere near what Deshaun Foster got last offseason. It's one of those cases where everyone knows he's done in KC so nobody trades for him, they just wait for him to hit the street and get him for a cheaper deal. The one guy in his corner in KC was Carl Peterson, and he's gone, so you should assume 100% no LJ in KC next year. Herm Edwards can't stand him and most teammates feel the same way.

Come on KC, trade LJ for Maroney and a late 2nd day.

Man, what a sad story. A few years back I thought the guy was on a collision course with the HOF, now nobody wants him. Who knows, you put him on a good offensive team and he may shine once again. He's young enough that he should have a few productive seasons left.
Bye Tony
Bye LJ
Hopefully bye Herm...

Thats what happens when your dominant offensive line gets old. Larry Johnson has taken a beating after seeing eight men in the box for a few seasons and his holdout didnt help either this year. The team that trades for him might want to reconstruct his contract which might deal an even bigger blow to him. If he is motivated then odds are the team will get a steal like Moss.

I know the offensive line has drastically downgraded, and that has a lot to do with LJ's astronomical dip in production, but ontop of that its obvious he just hasn't had the same fire for the last 2-3 years that he did then. But I'm sure if you put him on a winner it will revitalize him for at least a season or 2.

Really can't imagine them getting much for him. Backs just don't recycle very well, and time and again, it is shown that they can be acquired through the draft. Depending on who comes out this draft, teams would be able to find a starter who is young, cheaper (maybe), and has less baggage than LJ.
There is only one Grandmama, and he doesn't play football.

Who wouldn't want off that Chiefs team?
Johnson should fetch a decent pick or maybe a young prospect. I'm more curious to see who gets him than to see the return.
