I hope BJ decides to stay. I think he'd choose a good home over the dough.

Houshmandzadeh will end up as Marvin Harrison's replacement in Indy.

Marvin Harrison will be a cap casualty--he's due to make over 10% of the Colts cap. He might redo his deal and stay though
The Browns were certain to part with K2, but everything is uncertain now. Do expect Derek Anderson to be moved and a veteran like Gus Frerotte or Billy Volek to be brought in.
Dallas might be just tired enough of TO. Zach Thomas has already opted out and has "Patriots" written all over him
The Panthers are fully prepared to franchise Peppers. If they do that then some "names" will be forced out. IIRC they recently reached an extension with Gross, right?
If Favre decides to stick around the Jets have to release some serious $$--they're looking at being around $10M over the cap even without him. They have no money to bring back Washington and I know they want to keep him, so somebody's gotta go. My guess (and that's all it is) is that Coles, Thomas, and Nugent will be elsewhere next season.
One of the Bears starting CBs could be moved. Ogunleye looks on the way out too. And Rex Grossman, of course.

Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor must be drowning in irony right now, considering they left a horrible Miami team to play on playoff contenders.
The Williams trade potentially spelled the end of TO in Dallas, although TO is still the guy. What I find strange is how old he is. I want to see how that impacts his situation.
The way Carolina's played this season, I think everyone involved (players and management) would be nuts not to try to keep things together.
Why would Brandon Jacobs and Ray Lewis want to be anywhere else? Jacobs is the cornerstone of that Giants' offence (outside of the OL, of course) and Lewis is a legend in Baltimore. Both teams are also playing really well.
With Warner being old and Boldin possibly on his way out, things could look worse in Arizona next season.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Patriots cut ties with Laurence Maroney and look towards the draft for a replacement.

Carlos Rogers has been put on the block. Stupid Vinny Cerrato. Some team is going to rob us of a stud press coverage corner.

Ray Lewis will stay a Baltimore Raven, especially after this season. He loves Baltimore. Baltimore (and the owner) loves him. We'll pay him what he wants and deserves.
T-Sizzle will most likely be Franchise Tagged again and resigned after next season.
The player who the Ravens will lose this off-season will be Bart Scott (not too well-known but a very good player). There simply isn't enough room for him on the roster.

You forgot Cassel. But those are some very big names. Very good F.A. class.
I hope ray stays in baltimore as well.

I can't imagine Ray Ray in anything but a Ravens uniform. It would just be awkward. Like if Brett Favre wore anything other than a Packer.... oh wait.

Good call. Bill Belichick can't stand guys who can't play thru pain, and there are lots of questions about the extent of Maroney's injuries and his toughness.
Matt Cassel is totally dependant on Tom Brady's status. If the Pats trust that Brady will be ready then I can't see them keeping Cassel. But do they risk franchising him in order to get compensation, knowing they could be committing over $12M to a backup QB? And I'm not sold that he would chase the $$ just anywhere either. But if they feel Brady won't be ready look for them to sign him to a 2 or 3 year deal that's economically viable for both sides to get out from after year 1.

Al Harris remarked a few weeks ago that the Packers were going young on defense and didn't expect to return. He's still a good cornerback and had a stretch of about five weeks this season in which he didn't allow a reception. He's not a free agent and his cap number isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but I could see him being moved. Tramon Williams is a quality corner and they may want to see what they have in Pat Lee and Will Blackmon.

It's not stupid. If a team (like the Lions) are offering you their 20th pick plus another draft pick, you won't take it?
He's got 1 year left. If he stays, no harm no foul, but if you get value for him and he doesn't fit into the team's defensive schemes (and he doesn't), then trade him.
News to me that Gross signed an extension. If he did, that sucks, b/c he's someone I wanted the Redskins to go for.

I'd be all for cutting ties with Maroney. He's a walking injury and it's too bad because he looked like a stud when he first played for us.

Jerry Angelo pretty much said flat out in his post-season press conference that he's going to trade or cut at least one of our high priced defensive players. Cliff Levingston is looking at Nathan Vasher and Adewale Ogunleye.
Is Chad Johnson a free agent?

The Panthers re-signed Chris Gamble recently, this is probably what he was thinking of. The only way Gross isn't franchised is if the Panthers get too caught up with the Julius Peppers negotiations. He wants to stay and they want to keep him. Although, if they win the Super Bowl his price will skyrocket and then all bets are off.

I don't know about that. The Patriots are pretty high on Kevin O'Connell. I don't think NE wants to commit so much money to the QB position. I think its a given the Patriots are franchising Cassell with the intentions of selling him to the highest bidder. If they can get a pick or two to shore up the defense. Then it's a no brainer.

Apparently Santana Moss is on the trading block but I take that source with a grain of salt. Doesn't make much sense to trade away our only good receiver.

FALCONS HOT FOR PEPPERS?For the second day in a row, Peppers declined to say whether he’d like to remain with the team, and coach John Fox wouldn’t say what preferences Peppers had communicated in their private conversations.
Peppers’ contract is due to expire Feb. 26, making him eligible to become an unrestricted free agent. If the Panthers are unable to sign him to a long-term contract extension before then, they could place their franchise tag on him.
If Peppers is franchised, Carolina could have him play under a one-year tender offer in 2009, as offensive tackle Jordan Gross did this season, or trade him to another team.
Unlike Gross, who made it clear he’d like to remain with the Panthers long-term, Peppers has been careful to avoid making his desires known publicly.
“Ideally, I want to be in the best possible situation for myself and for this organization,” said Peppers. “I’m thankful for everything they’ve done for me.
“I don’t want to leave them crippled or in a bad situation and I don’t want to do that to myself either. Whatever works out best for both sides is what I’m comfortable with.”
The Panthers’ season ended abruptly Saturday night with a 33-13 home playoff loss to Arizona.
Peppers had a career high 14.5 sacks during the regular season and was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl. He came within one vote of being a first-team Associated Press all-pro.
