This will end up as the most boring game in NFL history.

This is a toss-up. Titans had the best record in the regular season and the head-to-head win, but the Ravens are one of the hottest teams in the NFL and in their last matchup with the Titans, we would have won if it weren't for a very "questionable" call on Suggs (for lack of a better word). Baltimore actually led for most of that game.
The Titans' main offensive weapons plays a position the Ravens defend about as well as anyone in the league.
Should be a great game.

Eh, it's sort of like a Spurs/Rockets game. Yeah, both teams are defensive-oriented but that doesn't mean it won't be a good, interesting contest.
Maybe it's because I've been watching the Ravens for years now but I actually like grind-it-out defensive games more than high-scoring affairs.

No game involving Ed Reed can be called the most boring game in NFL history.
Ravens are my pick to win. Collins, another feel good story, will be shut down by Balt's D.

This is going to be a battle in the trenches with 2 teams that like to control the clock with the run game. With two great defenses yards will be hard to come by on the ground but they might be just as hard through the air the defensive backfeild are very good and opportunistic. The Titans secondary consists of 2 pro bowlers in Hope and Finnegan a solid corner in Harper and a 2nd year ball hawkng safety Michael Griffin who had 7 ints on the year. Whie Baltimore was 2nd in passing defense and 1st in ints which is pretty remarkable for a secondary that had to plug in people through out the year.
Back to the run games in their last meeting the Raven did a good job of pounding the ball right up the middle of Tennessee's defense rushing for 142 yards and controled the ball for 34 mns, while the Titans were contained for 47 yards on the ground. With Tennessee's D-lined bang up it presents the Ravens a opportunity to match its prvious success for the Titans they will need to balance the touches between Smash and Dash. In the last meeting it was an 18:3 ratio between Cj and Lendale if they don't want a repeat performance they need to soften up the Ravens defense with more Smash.
Prediction
Titans 14-10

should be a good game, very good defenses all around, but ravens are hot, and the titans did not look good in their last game
i'll go with the ravens

well there is precedent of pretty much throwing the last game, and then not playing well in the postseason

That Ravens defense looks as dominant as it has since their last Super Bowl victory, so I'm going with the Ravens. They'll force a turnover or two and get their offense in good enough field position to get a pair of field goals. I expect the wily old veteran Kerry Collins to outplay Joe Flacco, (You don't think he would love to avenge his Super Bowl loss against the Ravens when he was behind center with the Giants?) but I expect Flacco to do just enough for the Ravens to win. Ravens win 13-10

I think Kevin Mawae is going to be huge. If he can play and plays well, that really helps the Titans offense.
If a team cannot stretch the field vertically on Baltimore, they have no chance. Look at how they handled Pennington or Derek Anderson, who has the arm but not the accuracy. Collins isn't a rifleman but he can zip it down the field with some accuracy when he has time. I'm not sure how much I trust the Titans receivers in that regard though. I do really like Chris Johnson to keep them honest, because he has great hands and he's so freakishly fast so quickly.
I'm not sure that Baltimore will be able to throw the ball at all. The Ravens live with Flacco flinging it way downfield knowing he's only going to complete it about 1 in 5 times, because it drops the safeties back and gives McClain more room to get a head full of steam. In theory it should open up short swing passes and curl routes, but Flacco doesn't throw those very well. The Titans LBs have the speed and talent to cover those, and their CBs jump routes extremely well.
I haven't decided who I'm picking yet but I'm leaning towards Tennessee because it's at home and the Ravens are off a short week.

Mawae did get banged up against the Steelers so he might not be as effective as they need him to be so it will be critcal if the other guys like Amano, Roos and Stewart to step up.

I think Ravens will win the turnover battle and as a result the game. I expect something like 13-10

I like defense. So, I hope it's a very low scoring game, and it's a hard fought battle by both defenses.
It's going to be a true test for both quarterbacks.

You gotta be kidding me. I hope it's a wild 6-0 game with Ed Reed winning in OT on an INT return.

Your definition of exciting is a game that will have lots of punts and a 0-0 score in regulation time?
Jeez dude, what has living in Atlanta done to you?

I love defense. And you say that like Atlanta is some boring city...
I like shootouts too, but this won't be a shootout.

If you're not a fan of defense and intensity and physical power football then it will be. But watching Ray Lewis go up against identity n theft, then Baltimore's 3 headed running monster go up against Big Al, it will be amazing

This will be a great game, and low-scoring, as has been mentioned. The Mawae/Pryce matchup of sorts should be good to watch, assuming both are healthy. I think the Ravens are just playing better football right now - the Titans are 3-3 in their last six and have looked stunningly ordinary aside from the Pittsburgh win. I think the Ravens take this in a close one because their defence will completely stop the Titans' offence and McClain is probably good for a TD.

Truest statement ever. The teams that forget it are doomed to fail.
