The Dolphins are projected to have the NFL's toughest schedule in 2009.
Last year's combined win percentage of Miami's 2009 opponents is .594 (152-104 W-L record). The Panthers will face the NFC's hardest schedule, while the Patriots get the NFL's third most difficult slate. Offseason upgrades and blunders, and natural personnel improvement and decline always influence these projections. But the AFC East will face the AFC South and NFC South, neither of which had one team with a losing record last year.

it's not that hard, you play 6 games vs. your division every year. and then 4 games against 1 of the 3 remaining divisions in your conference and rotate every year. then you play 4 games 1 of the 4 divisions in the other conference and rotate every year again. finally with your remaining 2 games it goes like this, what ever place you finished in last year, you play the other teams in your conference that also finished in that place.

so looking at the cowboys schedule for this past year:
6 games vs. the nfc east (there division)
4 games against the nfc west
4 games against the afc south
and since they finished in 1st place they played the other 1st place teams from the nfc north and nfc south (which were tampa and green bay)

next year im pretty sure they play
6 division games
4 games vs. nfc south
4 games vs. afc west (i think)
and games against 3rd place teams in the nfc (seattle and green bay)

Not good news for the Dolphins, going from one of the softest schedules to one of the toughest is going to result in a one year wonder team.
