Houshmandzadeh wasn't released, he's an unrestricted free agent.

Lions re-sign K Jason Hanson and G Stephen Peterman to multi-year deals.

Ravens prepared to franchise OLB Terrell Suggs.

That Peterman deal is terrible, maybe worse than Jeff Backus's

According to NFL Network's Adam Schefter, DT Albert Haynesworth will not re-sign with the Titans before testing the free agent market.

Haynesworth to test the market as expected.

So Julius Peppers has 4 select teams he'll play for. Supposedly, two of these teams are NFC South Teams (Tampa and Atlanta?), another is Dallas and some other unknown team in the AFC.

So Peppers really has the Panthers in a hold, he'll refuse any long term contract talks with teams that aren't on the list, making the trade all but impossible. Dallas can't afford his contract when franchised (cap wise). Peppers would have to sign a contract that is worth a lot less than the one he was/has been offered by the Panthers.

I'd hate to see Peppers in Dallas, if somehow it happens. Ware and Peppers would be a sick OLB combo though.

I am so disinterested in football because of Dan Snyder and Vinny Cerrato.

So that is nine players. And Peppers plus Nnamdi expected to be tagged.

And I thought this was going to be an active/fun free agency :-?

Apparently, the Raiders and Nnamdi are close to reaching a long term deal.

Bo Scaife will also get tagged.

Peppers is officially tagged after Jordan Gross inks a deal with the Panthers that will make him the second highest paid offensive lineman after Jake Long.

Damn the two top corners in this years Free Agency are gone already.

Peppers will request trade soon probably.

edit: when peppers stated his teams. Cowboys, two NFC south teams, didn't he guarantee himself he was going to get franchised? Why would the panthers let him sign in their own division.

I'm pretty sure they have been planning to franchise him for months.

Thursday notes from Indy, almost none of which has anything to do with the draft...
http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ ... ine_day_1/

I'm getting completely wasted tonight with a couple of recognizable draftnik names, and we'll be at a noted hangout for movers and shakers. Hopefully I'll get some good info and be able to recall it

Has anyone read who Peppers list of teams consist of? The Boys are the only team I have read.
