Oakland makes Asomugha the highest-paid DB

Asomugha just signed with the Raiders for 3 yr/$45 million. This officially makes him the highest-paid DB in the NFL history. Good or bad move by the Raiders?

At least he's a good player. That's a step in the right direction.

Heres what others around the league feel about it. Al's just going to look bad again for keeping one of the best players.

"Insanity, stupidity, whatever you want to attach to it. Yeah, the kid is the best cornerback in the league. They paid for quality. I'll give them that. But that deal wrecks the league. Absolutely wrecks it. … I'm sure Al doesn't care, but it's deals like that that change the league for the worse."

Yeah. Nnamdi is the best cornerback in the entire league, but that money is still pretty ridiculous. $15 mil for that position especially is rather outrageous, but look who's signing off on the deals.

With that said however, Nnamdi is my favorite player so I'm glad he's staying on my favorite team.

He's def the best CB in the league. I won't be too surprised if a QB gets $20-25 million per year contract anytime soon.

I'm just surprised that Asomugha wants to stay with the Raiders. I cant blame him tho because he is getting a big payday.
