2 NFL Players, 2 College players went out fishing on saturday morning and have been missing since.

Earlier this afternoon they found 1 man, Nick Shluyler. The other 3 are at large

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Coast Guard was searching off Florida's Gulf Coast on Sunday for a fishing boat carrying NFL players Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper and two other men missing nearly a day in choppy seas.

Smith and Cooper were on a 21-foot vessel that left Clearwater Pass for a fishing trip Saturday morning and did not return as expected, the Coast Guard said Sunday. Crews used a helicopter and a 47-foot boat to search a 750-square mile area west of Clearwater Pass, but poor weather made the search difficult. Officials did not receive a distress signal from the missing craft.

Latest News:

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The Coast Guard on Monday narrowed the search area for two NFL players and a third man missing since a weekend fishing trip off the Florida Gulf Coast after crews rescued a fourth man clinging to their capsized boat.

Survivor Nick Schuyler, a former University of South Florida player, told rescuers that the boat the four friends were aboard was anchored when it flipped Saturday evening in rough seas, said Coast Guard Capt. Timothy M. Close. Since then, Schuyler, who was wearing a life vest, had been hanging onto the boat found by a Coast Guard cutter 35 miles off Clearwater.

Schuyler said the other three men got separated from the boat. The 21-footer belongs to Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, who, along with free-agent defensive lineman Corey Smith and former South Florida player William Bleakley, remained missing.

Yeah, it certainly doesn't look good. My thoughts and prayers go out to their family and friends.

Am I the only one who thinks that Marquis Cooper's wife was ecstatic that her husband might not come back? She was smiling the entire interview.

Incredibly, they were all wearing life jackets, which makes me a lot more optimistic about how this will all go down. Let this be a lesson to you boaters out there.

When I watched that on tv, I thought that was the most bizarre thing...it sure didn't seem like she was upset at all.

I've been keeping track of all the recent news on this story and I'm sad to say the Coast Guard has ended the search for the missing three.

thats what i thought when i heard that- theres 3 human beings out there that could be alive, you can not just let them die

like if they are all alive they must be thinking 'dam i hope they hurry up and find us cuz i wont survive out here much longer'

yea well guess what they won't ever find you cuz theyre not even **** looking

I went to yahoo and saw some of the pictures of the family. While it's only a picture, it's still sad seeing them hold each other, and the caption said it was the reaction once they found out the search was off at sunset.

Problem is the chances of them being alive are slim to none. Obviously the coast guard checked everywhere they could be and I'm sure double and triple checked it. Sad story, but really had no business being out that far with bad weather coming in.

The coast guard knows what they are doing. Aside from Schuyler and the boat, they also found a cooler and a life vest. Of course family will question calling off the search, but those of us removed from the situation should know better than to accuse them of being heartless.

The life vest ended up being the other three people's and they took them off to seek help. It's ashame they didn't keep them on because all three would most likely be alive right now.

Maybe you haven't heard, but the ocean is pretty damn big. Even while knowing the approximate location, when you figure in currents and everything else it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Not to mention you can barely even see people in the water from the air.

So you think you know better than people who make a living doing this?

Oops, I forgot this is RealGM. I guess it goes without saying.
