Charles Rogers Jailed

Post#1 » by bill curley II » Thu Mar 26, 2009 7:29 pm

Huge waste of talent, although he was very unlucky with injuries.

Also, get this man a calculator.

The second pick overall in the 2003 NFL draft chose to be locked up for 30 days, with credit for 15 days served, instead of staying in an intensive drug counseling program after violating probation in a domestic violence case.

I’m just going to do my 10 days, get out of the court system and try to get in shape for a comeback,” Rogers said Wednesday in a telephone interview with The Associated Press from the Oakland County jail in Pontiac, Mich. “Am I sad about the way my life has turned out? No, because I know the strides I’ve made to take care of Charles Rogers.”

He got thrown in jail rather than attend AA meetings. Way to research character Matt Millen :banghead:

In all fairness, those 30 days of jail probably end a long time before the AA meetings do. Just get it done with.

Is this an appropriate time for me to go on a rant about using top 10 picks on WRs? :P

it was the freak injuries that killed him. Breaking your collarbone is a freak injury. I mean look at how AD did it at Oklahoma. It was how we tried to make a comeback from those injuries that made him into a bust.

Seriously, this guy has no class, I mean next thing you know his entourage will be lickin' shots at the paparazzi cause they're taking pictures at his wedding.

Remember how much of a sure thing Rogers was in the 2003 draft? He and Carson Palmer were supposed to be multiple Pro-Bowlers.
