So now you can watch Romo choke in the 4th quarter on a monstrous HD screen.

I can dig it.

Pretty sweet. Sucks for the people sitting under it, though.

That thing looks pretty low to the surface. Any chance that a high punt could reach that thing?

they said it's 90 feet, not sure how high a punter's ball normally gets. i think i heard some guys a few days ago on the radio said if ray guy tried to hit it during practice he could maybe do it but that's not exactly the thing you'll be aiming for in a game. it will be interesting to see the ruling if it does happen though

this is a blog post from the dallas morning news about it: http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archi ... maybe.html

Why would a punt go near it?

It looks amazing.

Regarding it getting hit, new Bengals punter Keith Huber can nail it. His punts have been measured at 117' high. I bet Dan Sepulveda could nick it too. But where it appears to be oriented over the field I doubt anyone is kicking that high to come near it.

Will it finally help them win a playoff game after a decade long drought?

No.

Imagine the explosions and light show you'll get when that thing comes careening to the ground during another freak wind storm

Ah yes bigger screen for their multi-billion still unnamed stadium...it makes me cringe thinking how the NFL seems to be above what is happening right now economically. If I was a Lions fan, I don't know how I can support Stafford making that much money given how Detroit has been lately...

If Craig Hentrich's almost-40-year-old legs can hit that thing (Even in practice), then it should be a concern.

If a punter hits it in the first game at the new stadium, I can't imagine how many times this is going to happen during the regular season.

What idiot gave the okay to this thing? It was the topic of conversation the entire night, haha. Far too low to the playing field.

That thing is ridiculous to begin with, I hope just about every punter hits it. Then the NFL forces them to get rid of it or move it up higher. That looks like it would be a fun time for all.

I like it. From now on, every time a punt doesn't ricochet at least three times off various pinball-like obstacles in the rafters, I'll be disappointed. It's about time they add some flavor to punts.

It got nailed a few times, must be lower than it looked.

IMO it should be a 15-yard penalty against the home team when it gets hit. That applies to every stadium.
