Re: NFL to LA?
nice first post. the deal will happen like this, the billionaire eli broad will own the team. and it will be at that time, when the rumors of pete carroll leaving for the NFL will finally come to fruition. pete will leave USC and coach that team. it is the only team in the NFL that pete is interested in, an LA NFL team. and the billionaire will give him the control over personnel, and all of the other facets pete requires.

Re: NFL to LA?
2 things:
1. I don't think you'll see any team in LA until Al Davis is dead. He's certainly not above filing ridiculous lawsuits that cost big-time $$ even if he has zero chance of winning.
2. With the economy the way it is, esp. in CA with the state beyond bankrupt, it's a real tough sell to build a new stadium and lure a team from another city. Even if the whole thing is privately financed, that's not going to go over well nationally.

Although that stadium looks hot the Cowboys Stadium is better.

There's a reason LA didn't keep any of the teams that went there. There's a possibility the Chargers move to LA, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think that in the current economic climate (especially in California) it will be a while before the NFL is back in that city. Too many factors working against it.

Georgia and Al.
Hardly the benchmark of NFL owners.
1 is dead and the other just looks like it.
Put a franchise in LA and run it the right way and it will succeed. In fact, gimme back my Rams.

Cheers.

In this economic climate, the NFL cannot afford to have teams in places like Jacksonville and Buffalo, while a perfectly fine city with the 2nd largest audience base in North America still does not have a team.
There are many factors working against it, but economic climate would actually give more reason for a team to move in to that area.
Oh, and that stadium looks nice.

Why would he have an issue and can even create an issue to begin with?

Same reason as MLSE vetoing a move of the Phoenix Coyotes to Hamilton.

Re: NFL to LA?
From the location map on the site, I'm about 15 miles away from that stadium. Not bad. But I doubt LA needs an NFL team. We've gone so long without one. I wouldn't rule it out though.
