I only saw the highlights, but why would Tennessee waste their best trick play in the preseason?

They would never run that in a real game (At least, with Craig Hentrich as the punter).

That's one you want to keep in your pocket just in case. It would be different if he did just hand the ball off.

Craig Hentrich is going to remain as the punter for a while, and Fisher's not going to be running any trick plays like that (at least with him running) while Hentrich is the Punter. And by that time the Titans replace their punter, everyone will have forgotten about a trick play in the first quarter of a meaningless preseason game.

Brady looks good. I forgot how nice he was. My god he is levels upon levels above and way beyond Matt Cassel.

Neither one of the games I want to see is on TV. Pittsburgh/Arizona is intriguing for a regular season matchup, but I'd much rather watch the Eagles or Ravens in the preseason.

Leinart looks good. Real good. Unfortunately, he also looks bad on some plays.

I'm hoping Kolb hasn't played for the Eagles yet. He's one of the main reasons I wanna see the Eagles. Maclin is looking good, he should get 3 TDs on returns next year.

I wouldn't call myself fashionable, but Suzy Kolber has had the worst hair I've ever seen 6 years and running.

On that note, I'm done with the Cards/Steelers game. 3-3 game in the 3rd, very boring so far. Not even worth seeing Dixon. The Eagles/Pats feed just went down, I guess I'm done with football tonight.

Lions/Falcons notes:
--hard to really grade the Lions QBs considering the top 4 WRs were out. I thought Stafford looked just fine. His first two incompletions were drops by Keary Colbert on good, not great, throws. Responded very well from a terrible INT, made a couple of great throws as the game went on.
related: Keary Colbert absolutely sucks!!

--Atlanta's starting DBs played pretty well, but the best CB on the team is rookie Chris Owens. Dude was a blanket and looked real strong in run support, made a great open field tackle that saved a big gain. Wasn't afraid to run in to big Will Heller either. Thom Decoud looked fine at safety, showed some range and closing speed.
related: Heller is already the best TE the Lions have had in years and he's not even the #1 TE. Nice to see a guy who can block AND run a decent route and catch the ball.

Falcons 1st team DL had no trouble getting pressure up the gut against Lions 1st team OL. Dom Raiola is just too small to handle big guys. Off the bench I thought Thomas Johnson played a real nice game for ATL, very active and stout.

ATL had better not get any OL injuries because the backups were terrible in pass protect. Will Svitek is passable but the interior guys got flat-out dominated by the likes of Landon Cohen and Jason Hunter. I thought Chris Redman looked better than he ever has as the backup QB.

Gosder Cherilus is looking more like a bust all the time. He has zero instincts.

Drew Stanton showed me something. Dude plays like Michael Vick and he's nearly that fast. He's certainly no starter but he's the kind of guy you can put in on 3rd and 11 and make things happen, or as a Wildcat package QB.

Anthony Henry got toasted once but overall he and Philip Buchanon look like HUGE upgrades at CB for DET.

Matt Ryan looked fine, Roddy White ditto. Gonzalez didn't get to do much.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Stafford has a golden arm. That was the first time I was ever kind of cheering for a player against the Falcons.
