Dosen't necessarily have to be the best player of all time but who is your all time favorite football player past or present?

Personally I'm a huge fan of Jack Tatum and Earl Campbell

Curtis Martin for me, just a class act on and off the field, was hoping he could play a couple more seasons so he can get 100 rushing TDs, but oh well.

My All-time favourite player is Eddie George. George is a big reason why I became a Oilers/Titans fan I loved his running style and his leaership for those Oiler/Titans team. However, it was disapointing to see how his career ended seeing his body break down to the point where he couldn't avg more then 3.3 YPC. I think people are quite forgetfull of how good George actually was before his injury plague years. In his first 5 seasons his lowest rushing total was 1294 it seem like he was building a HOF career. If George played in this era I think he would be appreciated more. He was a 3 down back, durable as he never missed a start due to injury, solid as a weapon in the pass game, and was very good in protecting the QB.

Chris Spielman: hard-nosed, hard-hitting, smart, humble, positive, proud, savvy, fierce, reliable. Everything I want from a football player and a man.

Others:
Ozzie Newsome
Clay Matthews
Kevin Greene
Sam Mills
Deion Sanders
Shannon Sharpe

Jeremy Shockey, for his passion and 'don't give a f*ck' attitude.

I hope he has some sort of comeback season in New Orleans this year. He looks pretty good this preseason.

For my all time favorite patriots, see GOTG's sig. Loved that duo.

As for non-patriots, Ray Lewis. Every one of my buddies were fans of him as well. We used to mimic his speeches before games.

Ed Reed is another raven that I love. Since his UofM days. I remember this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02fppIV9pik like it was just yesterday.

Barry Sanders and Drew Bledsoe at first, Priest Holmes in the middle, Mario Williams now. I got into football a little later (1994 or so) than I did in most other sports (1990).

Yeah, I've never been a fan of guys my age saying their all-time favorite player in a sport were guys like Sweetness or Larry Bird. I think to make that player your favorite, you should be completely trusted to not piss your pants at any given moment.

Marvin Harrison.

Never ran his mouth, was never a diva, he just went out every Sunday, and played.

Amazing hands, speed, and disgusting foot work.

I'll never forget that play against the Broncos in the playoffs, when he made that diving catch, and not one bronco touched him, so he got back up and ran it in for a TD, I laughed for 5 minutes straight.
