Well, I was a Bills fan as a kid as they were pretty much "Toronto's team" at the time since they were the closest in vicinity and they were on that Superbowl (losing) streak. And there were definitely good memories from then, such as the legendary Frank Reich comeback game against Houston. Was also a big Flutie fan from his time with the Argos, so that contributed to things.
But everything changed after I moved to PA during the early 2000s, as I just became a much bigger Eagles supporter (although I still had a soft spot for the Bills). Reasons for this change were that the Eagles were the local team and my move also coincided with their drafting of #5. So it was really a nice ascending team to follow, even if they were terrible at first (lol doug pederson).
Anyway, during that same time, I was also significantly disheartened by the downfall of the Bills, and the music city miracle was the real kick in the nuts (It's right up there with Vince's miss in the Sixer series in my personal list of most depressing sports moments) as that franchise hasn't been the same since.
Looking back, it was really a case of two teams having gone in radically different directions during the last decade.
