Sucks.
Reports are saying they're now in talks with Derrick Brooks and that the details are being hammered out as to where he'll be with the team by the end of the day. I'm pretty sure he can still be a solid contributor in a D like Chicago's.

Chicago loves football. Too bad football hates Chicago.

Even if you are not a Bears or Urlacher fan, you gotta feel for the guy. Al Michaels and Cris Collingsworth were talking last night how Urlacher finally felt 100% healthy and worked really hard in the offseason. But that's football for you....

Chi-town hasn't been the same since their Super Bowl appearance. Seems like things can't go their way for nothing. Losing Urlacker is a big loss for the Bears.

As a Bears fan, I was really sad to read this headline the other day. Urlacher seemed to finally be physically ready to play at his best again. We're now without him and Dusty Dvoracek for the season, and Tommie Harris is likely to go down at any time. Add to that Charles Tillman's health issues and our relatively weak safety spots and this defense could really struggle if things keep going wrong like this.

Bears, the next Cubs.
