Trade TO?
Now that it seems Buffalo's season is over, they may look to trade TO and/or TO will ask to be dealt to a contender. Who are the possible destinations and what can they get for him?
Chicago?
Minnesota?

Re: Trade TO?
Nobody is going to give up anything of value to bring in TO for half a season.. I fully expect him to finish his 1 year contract in Buffalo and play elsewhere next season

Re: Trade TO?
I've been trying to dig into this with some sources, but it appears nobody is desperate enough yet to make an offer to Buffalo that makes it worth it. TO is still selling jerseys and generating some pulse to the franchise and that means something in Buffalo.
Chicago is not interested, I can guarantee that. Baltimore makes sense on some levels. I think Miami would be perfect for him, but intra-divisional trades are toughies.
On another trade front, Brady Quinn isn't going anywhere. Not this week anyways. Ask again come draft time and I'll bet good $$ that changes. The general sentiment: why would anyone trade for a guy who isn't obviously better than Derek Anderson, who sucks? You're buying high on Quinn now, and he's not likely to help anyone in a new system this year. Wait for the price to drop and the situation to get even mroe uncomfortable in April.

Re: Trade TO?
ON the other trade news, any rumbling of the Pats looking for another wide out? With Galloway not understanding the offense, they have Sam Aiken/Julian Edelman as the 3rd receiver. Are they just going to wait and see if Brandon Tate will be ready? Or could they make a move for a 3rd receiver?

Re: Trade TO?
what about New England trading for TO? A Moss/TO combo with Welker in the slot would be sick!

Re: Trade TO?
Buffalo would expect a helluva a lot to deal to an inter-division team, and New England has much more glaring needs than getting an alpha receiver IMO.

What are these glaring weakness that you see? Another wide receiver one be number one in my book. But no way in hell will it be TO. They don't need to take the chance on him. I would however love somebody like Josh Reed from Buffalo tho.

I knew i shouldn't have used the word "Glaring".
I just feel they should be a bit more focused on bolstering the defense, than going after a receiver with a past.

Re: Trade TO?
I actually think their defense has played pretty well.
They are only giving up 18 ppg. They are in the top part of the league in both yards against the pass and run. They are ranked 11 in the pass and 13th against the run. That puts them 11th overall. The real issue I have with the defense is they not turning the ball over enough. But it's not like the defense is terrible.

Re: Trade TO?
T.O doesn't want to be in Moss's shadow. In his world he actually believes they are/were comparable.

and, you know, a guy named Bill Parcells runs things down there.

That is just not the case anymore. TO has dropped off big time.

Re: Trade TO?
I haven't seen TO play this year, and he's old enough that he could have significantly fallen off but they definitely have been comparable for most of the decade.

Re: Trade TO?
They were comparable as in, TO was a really good receiver, but Moss was just a lot better.
TO has one, MAYBE, 2 years that are even comparable to rookie Randy Moss.

TO at the top of his game was an absolute monster. Moss definitely wasn't a lot better.

Re: Trade TO?
Heard from a little birdie that the Redskins inquired about TO. That's all I know about it, no idea what, if anything, was offered.
Matt Jones worked out for TB this week. He was scheduled to be in Cleveland today.
The Rams are shopping Leonard Little and Randy McMichael. Might have a taker in Cincy for McMichael.
If Houston looks bad this weekend they could become sellers. Read that: beat the Bengals or Dunta Robinson, Kevin Walter, and Eugene Wilson are all on the clearance block. Their coaches seat is hotter than some others that most people assume is on fire too.

He was a lot better at getting open, and a lot better at catching the ball, a lot better at getting deep, and a better redzone threat.
TO, for all his big muscles, wasn't a guy that was a vicious tackle breaker or possession receiver like people pretend he was, and he wasn't close as a deep threat.
Another case of Rasheed Wallace syndrome, player with a big mouth gets his talent level way overplayed.

Re: Trade TO?
TO was a good receiver, but I always thought he wasn't worth the trouble. He did have some big seasons of course, but Moss has always been better (minus Oakland years of course). I will always have a ton of respect for TO in one regard tho. The Super Bowl against the Pats, he was just coming off a broken ankle, came back way early. He was a monster in that game.
