Weak Pass Interference calls

It seems to me like it is getting worse and worse every year. If a DB makes a play at the ball and if he even grazes the receiver there can be a pass interference call on him. Like today in the Ravens Vikings game Favre throws a jump ball to Berrian the Ravens DB gets a hand on the ball but he also touches Berrians helmet flag is thrown 1st in goal on the 1. What pissed me off the most was then on the Ravens next possession the Ravens gets hit helmet to helmet and is laying on the ground motionlessness for a little bit but there is no flag. So 1 DB grazes hit helmet with his arm and gets a flag and other other one leads full speed with his helmet to the other helmet and no flag. I know they are different penalties but at least call it both ways.
I will point out my biased I am a Packer fan and of course I hate the Vikings. I just think that it is just such a big penalty that they should really hesitate before throwing the flag. These penalties can effect the game more than actual football plays.
So what do you guys think?

As a Giant fan witnessing a blowout, I too was shocked at some of the BS pass interference calls in the Giants/Saints game. The Saints were already owning the Giants & then the refs gift wrap a 35 yard pass interference call because Corey Webster & Colston's feet got tangled? Then there was the holding call that negated a Giants TD when there was no hold whatsoever.
I think these refs are protecting the offense way too much but that seems to be the norm across the sports spectrum. I mean, look at the NBA nowadays compared to the 90's.

I don't know what you're complaining about. Berrian was interfered with twice on that play while the ball was in the air. The play involving Washington of the Ravens was completely different, he caught the ball and was running down field when he got drilled.

I'm talking about weak pass interference calls in general. But my point is they can call it when the DB grazes him and they call a penalty but then they don't see it when the guy gets hit with a helmet to helmet. I know they are different penalties but if they call something ticky tack like that you would think that they could see a helmet to helmet. It seems like they just call pass interference if the receiver gets touched at all but they don't consider that the DB has an equal right to the ball. If they are going call weak pass interference like that there might as well be a flag on every pass.

I think that too often the ref calls what he thinks he's going to see and not what he actually sees. The ones I hate are where an official with the best angle doesn't throw the flag but someone with a worse angle does.
BTW I'm with Worm Guts on the Berrian play, that was definitely PI

It was a makeup call for them robbing Sharper's pick 6.
