Quite the fitting name, I must say. Whose your pick - Vince or Alex?

I'm shamelessly going to steal that line for my picks column. Send me an email or a sitemail with your real name and I'll give you credit. Don't cost nothin'

He's always had the speed and agility...he was (and still kind of is) a terrible route runner and has inconsistent hands. Despite all of that, I'm a fan of his.

Alex has Crabtree and Vernon Davis, easy choice.

Just wait till the Packers and 49ers play.

Alex Smith and the Packers o-line vs. Aaron Rodgers

He's also missing both his tackles, and the SF defense will miss Nate Clements a whole big bunch. I'd take Smith long-term over Young but this particular weekend is dicey.

Clements actually got demoted and the Niners secondary held Manning without a TD pass.

As long as they have Patrick Willis in the middle, they're defense will never be a pushover. He is hands down the best defensive player in the league.

Not only is he not "hands down" the best defensive player in the league, he's not even the best defensive player in the league.

I'll go Alex Smith, just because I'm not sold on Young. Yes, the Jaguars defense IS THAT BAD.
