YES! Huge loss for them, but much better for everyone in the WC race.

I know that I'm biased, but Brady Quinn looked nothing like this at Notre Dame.

Or was it just hidden because of Smardzija and Stovall and slower defenses?

Quinn just doesn't have the accuracy I thought he did, makes his receivers work too hard.

Pittsburgh has a major problem on offense. The OL is poor overall, but it gets worsened by the play-calling. They run slow-developing pass plays or simple runs, nothing fancy or misdirected. They basically ask the players to do everything all themselves and they aren't that talented. Look at their offensive pace too, it's disjointed with no flow.

Give Mangini some credit with the defense, that was impressive. His top 3 DL are all on IR, okay, we'll play with 5 LBs and 6 DBs half the game. Caught the plodding Steeler linemen off guard and notched 8 sacks and 13 other QB pressures (in 40 dropbacks), including every single 3rd down pass play. Also impressive that the Browns have not quit despite almots unanimous hatred of their coach, says a lot for the locker room leaders like Josh Cribbs, Joe Thomas, and Cory Williams.

When's the last time the Browns made such a good decision? Joe Thomas was a home run.

josh cribbs is my early pick for player of the week, i doubt he'll actually be acknowledged for it but the dude was amazing

i watched the entire game at the casino thursday night and was hardly paying attention to my cards b/c i was just in awe of the defensive dominance (and special teams/wildcat prowess of cribbs) of the browns. loved seeing the steelers go down

many a people on wfan radio in NY were talking about cribbs being a GREAT player. I dont know if he's a GREAT player but he's damn good all around and dominated that game.

---

there was a couple games where the brown's took out all of their dline men and stood up about 6 linebackers and 4 or 5 blitzed while 1 or 2 faked and went back into coverage.

ryan and mangini had some great blitzes and disguises.

love those types of grind it out games no matter how bad Quinn looked.

The curse continues for the Cowboys. ah well

On the Broncos, their defense played better than their offense at times. Especially in the second half and they still lost.

The cowboys struggles are well documented, but they always play very good opponents in December as well.
