It is indeed the year 4 the Jets to win the championship, is it not a lock..
Offense - Talented
Defense - Loaded

no, it's not a lock, and when did your offense get talented?

I think the offense took a step back with LTin and Thomas Jones leaving. A lot depends on if Sanchez can take on more of the offense.
Defensively I agree they are very good.

Nothing's ever a lock in the NFL, with that said our O does have some talent in them and also some nice young pieces in place for our future in Sanchise, Greene, Mangold, Brick etc.
Nothing needs to be said about the D really, if we can find an elite pass rusher I think we're set for a big year. Hoping we at least give Joey Porter a shot.

Porter is not going to happen, he joined Arizona.

Jets fans said the same thing last year and the year before.

I must admit I was one of them who thought we'd go far in the play-offs with Favre. but last year, a 9-7 record is pretty much what most of us expected.

Just because you good the year before, doesn't guarantee success the year after.
See: Steelers of last year.

very true, USCs troy polamalu got hurt and the pittsburgh steelers season went downhill fast. so injuries can happen.

On paper the Jets look like a potential Super Bowl team, but the grind that is the NFL season has a way of turning contenders into pretenders (see the other NY team last year).

I hate him...REALLY hate him...but if the Jets sign Jason Taylor I think they have a good shot at contending and have earned a consensus best team in the AFC East position. There's the elite pass rusher and all.

Jason Taylor is not an elite pass rusher.
