The older crowd sees them as tacky and representing a dark era of the team.

These will sell numbers IMO. I dig the teals, but never really dug the alternates based on these. Then again, I'm not a big fan of our standard Uni's, so this will add a little spice.

Or a hating the color teal thing.

...which appears to be largely generational. Obviously not 100%, but the split on this issue amongst older and younger fans makes this quite apparent

Odd, since teal is a pretty prevalent color in Art Deco designs that were popular in the 1920’s through the 1950’s.

Damn, I always liked the teal jerseys. The Teal Era though... losing to the damn Hawks in those 4/5 first round matchups, the Grant Hill/Jerry Stackhouse duo flopping, the underperforming year in and year out, draft busts,... yeah it wasn't the greatest. Grant was a bonafide megastar and a complete treat to watch so I still have a little nostalgia for the era.

Our alternates/"the town" jerseys are usually boring and uninspired so I'm down as long as they don't get cute and bring back the burgandy alternates from the teal era because those were hideous.

I wish they'd bring back the classic court design instead of the blue one with the superimposed logo on the sidelines and the no-painted keys that they use now. Big downgrade there, IMO. Or at least paint in the keys red and get rid of the superimposed logo, so it's kind of an inverse of the classic court. The Pistons' design staff is abandoning too much of the classic Championship look trying to appease Gen Z.

The teal and red floor is godawful and I prefer the classic design over the current, mostly due to the unpainted key which to me just doesn't look right. But in the grand scheme I'm pretty apathetic. No matter what the floor or the jerseys look like, if the team is playing well I'm happy. And I'll still just stick with my Jason Maxiell blue road jersey.

Good grief. That's almost as bad as my Darko Milicic bobblehead.

I would cherish a Darko bobblehead simply for comedic effect.

My "collection" is pure comedy. First, they are that really rare run only given out at some kind of function i have since forgotten, and they are;

Darko
Memo
Prince

If memory serves, it's what was left.

I just turned 40 yesterday and my wife got us tickets for the October 28th game so I might have to buy her a teal jersey to wear. We haven't been to a game since pre-covid so it'll be good to get back to LCA and also kind of cool we'll be there for the debut of the teal.
