My biggest issue with Blaha is he doesn't know wtf be going on on the court.

Yeah, I'd rather see him go out soon with some dignity rather than doing a Harry Caray-like spin into bad comedy.
There have been several times this year where me and my brother have turned and looked at each other wondering what the hell George was talking about. I've been listening to him for around the same time as you, and he is absolutely not the same broadcaster he used to be.

I think Johnny is improving. It’s hard to go from a sideline guy who needs to be energetic to a play by play guy who needs to be closer to a moderator. He and special k are starting to vibe more too. He’ll never be the classic Blaha type which is all the majority of us probably know when it comes to Pistons basketball, but he can be the sparky type like the Hornets guy

The announcers have been moved from where they've usually sat ever since COVID. I've heard every guy mistake Killian for Cade last year.
But, I think George Blaha is doing just fine. And it's too bad he couldn't call the game during last night's win. People ALL over the country constantly comment how much they like our broadcast. Fair and witty are the usual adjectives.

Bump Harry Caray, he's entered Pat Summerall/John Madden levels of "wtf".

Blaha a thousand years old time for him to hang them up. Kane ain't the best but kelser and blaha can be boring let Kane bring some youth and excitement.

Agree, Johnny Kane for MIP.

Wasn't a fan as he sounds too much like a bro and not a classic announcer type. He's growing on me now, he's quick witted and has great chemistry with special K.

Whooh…I don’t know man, I’m a long time Cubs fan (my NL team to counterbalance the Tigers and I’ve spent a LOT of time in Chicago) and he was BAD. But to give credit where it’s due, Summerall (total drunk) and Madden are certainly in the conversation. Well done.

Kane is pretty bad at play-by-play. He basically ignores what is actually happening and just spouts stuff off that catches his interest

Kane’s play by play is fine from a syntax standpoint. He just has a color man delivery.

That's a pretty accurate analysis IMO. Kane just needs to give up the frat boy delivery.

Speaking of announcers, I was watching on League Pass and had the Denver feed and the color guy for Denver said at one point that Jokic could get the "entire state of Detroit in foul trouble." I rewound it three times to make sure I heard him correctly. Yipes.

A few "hot takes":

1) Jalen Duren: I think the number one reason he's getting so much burn right now is his screening. That second unit has benefited a lot from both his back screens and his pick n roll. When teams don't want to fight through picks hard, it lets our second unit shooters like Burks and (hard to write this one) Knox have open space again and again. As he minimizes his dumb mistakes, even at this level, he will be hard to take out of the game.

2)I'd love to think Knox can continue this. One game playing off cuts and finishing the break strong to wrack up points, the next hitting threes all the time playing average wing defense (which is sensational for Detroit). It makes a huge difference though as he's so more athletic than Bey. I would obviously love to be wrong, but he's got Charlie Villanueva hot streak cooking right now. I expect a quick regression.

3) Casey can coach. His rotations and minute distribution have been solid on this road trip, and I was ready to send him out a week ago. He has put players in positions to succeed, sometimes that being their butt on the bench. About time...
