There was play in the 2nd half were Ivey cut to the basket with the ball. Nothing was there and the ball cycled, but it went to Diallo who basically followed the exact same path to the basket and he scored, all within a few seconds. It was like putting the opposing defense in a blender with those 2 guys both attacking the basket.

But then the next play Ivey holds the ball, takes a few dribbles and settles for a long 3. And that is our young team in a nutshell. Lots of ups and downs. Exciting plays mixed with growing pains.

lol @ Hami playing Center, and having to guard Jonas - a big, strong dude who only played inside until recently... Hami still had a great game. I liked his post-game comments, too.

We shot a horrible %, and almost beat a damn good team. If we play hard, defend, make the extra pass, I'm pleased. But too many no-pass or one-pass offensive possessions. There must be some stat.... when guys move it around, 3-4 passes, the shooter usually gets a good, open shot, and they usually go in. Hami's defense rubbed off on the other guys, too, just like offense.

Bojan's stock is so high.. I'd rather trade AB, because it's obvious Bojan is the leader out there, and he's always talking to the guys. But, I don't know if we need more picks. We are getting a Top 5 pick this year, and Cade will be coming back - we have no room. Now, we need to start building on top of what we have... For example, with a log-jam, it might be wise to .... trade a player and a pick for a great player.... And if we trade Bojan, I'd rather get a guy who is 25 who can play; knowing what we're getting. I went over the minutes a few days ago while I was writing, and try it for yourself. With our team, we're going to have to make some 2-1 trades, or add cash sweetners for a slightly better player, for example.

At least they competed last night against the Pels. I'd like to see Hami at the four with Duren. If Pistons do trade Bojan, we all better be in awe. Pistons clearly need some solid vets on this team for the next few years to compliment all the young ones, and with no option approaching Bojan's offensive production, trading him seems dumb. Certainly wouldn't take much to upgrade him defensively, but the league now isn't running that direction anyway. We're almost at the point where to win a game, it's first to 120.

This year certainly sucks as a fan, but the thought of next year having a presumably healthy Cade and a top five pick is enticing. Hopefully a new coach will accompany them.
