Thank God Charlotte built a two game lead on us. The Pistons were never going to lose this game.

Ivey has played better next to Burks than he has next to Killian for sure. It feels like first it was the Killian suspension, and then the move to the bench where we've seen Ivey finally playing better. Being out there with Burks and Bojan hitting shots, making plays, and being a focus of the defense I'm sure helps take some of the pressure off Ivey.

We kinda thought this was the case, and it’s proving true. We have three young PG that aren’t very good or very comfortable off-ball. Unless that changes, someone really has to go for different talent. It’s probably Killian.

Right, but they can improve off-ball. I still want my trades, but the 3 are all on rookie deals.

I think ivey can be good off ball. Still, his jumper looks better than advertised. I think offensively they can work; but ivey and cade on defense will be a problem both are below average.

Off Ball Ivey needs to pick up some of the things Diallo does off the ball as far as movement goes, diving in for rebounds, etc.

Hayes has had a huge percentage of his open 3s he has made generated from assists from Bojan and Ivey. He isn't getting as much shot creation from his teammates with the bench unit, so he is having to do more creating on his own with that unit which he is still working on and getting better at.

Ivey claims he grew up Piston fan, im sure Mother Coach has ran tape on Rip and Reggie M, consumate examples of moving without the ball. Im confident Ivey can work and excell off ball.
With dudes motor, its gonna be nice.

In the silver linings department, it was nice to see Ivey totally outplay Melo. Small sample size and I'm sure he's played better in other games, but Melo didn't look like anything special last night.

Hayes and Beefstew both seem to have lost a lot of momentum from their offensive improvements earlier in the season. Meanwhile, Bey has been playing more consistently lately, even jumping between the bench and the starting line up. I'd just love more consistency out of all three of these guys so we had a better idea what we have.

Good game by Duren. Nice to see him coming on as a rim protector. Some really dumb turnovers, though.

Great stuff by Ivey and Bojan per usual. Burks looked pretty off to start the night but came on down the stretch. It's nice to have pieces that you feel like you can rely on like him.

Nothing flashy by Haimi last night, but he really feels like he's cemented himself as a worthy part of a 9 man rotation going forward. Livers played nice defense at least. I like when we put him on lead guards.

I worry a little about Cade's mental state. I feel like the dude looked pretty depressed during a few of the shots of him on the bench.

I don't really like the idea of the Pistons having Stew be a 3-pt shooter.... He's better boxing guys out to enable other guy's getting those boards.. And, Stew has a very nice touch around the glass. I don't like bailing teams out with no pass bricked 3's.. Attack - we have the personnel, we just need to play defense.

My biggest criticism of Weaver has to be wasting time getting guys who can't play defense. Like Bagley. Completely unnecessary to re-sign. Breaking his hand trying to carry his wallet.

Ivey has actually been shooting less shots per game than he was earlier this season... he's passing on the bad shots or the forced shots and he's getting more of what's just in the flow of the offense or when he feels he has it in transition. It will be really interesting to see what both Ivey and Duren put up for their post all-star break stats as rookies.

I think Ivey could come close to being an 18-5-5 guy in Feb/March/April.... but its all about being more efficient scoring, turning the ball over less, and playing better defense for him to really impact winning in a positive way.

Ivey and Hayes both have made progress being the primary ball handler. How they adapt when Cade's back next season is going to be an interesting juggle.

Ivey is getting in that Cade rookie season realm in terms of raw numbers. Per 36 ivey is putting up 18-5-5 per 36 cade was putting up 19-6-6. Cade was having more big games but ivey seems a little more consistent idk

I like to see more Ivey making the pass in rhythm without putting the ball on the floor like he did last night.. And the hockey assists. Offensively, the best game of his career.
