4.5 is here to say
I'd rather have Wiseman than Bagley.

Re: Pistons-Celtics (7:30)
If Wiseman doesn't really improve much the next 2 years (bball IQ, court awareness, etc.) and gets injured frequently, then he'd be just a taller Bagley. Although, I think Bagley is a better rebounder at the moment.

Our friend Saddiq was 1 of 4 for 2 points in 18 minutes tonight. Has to be tough adjusting to a new team.

Well, I'll say this for wiseman - you notice when he is out there. For good or bad, he seems to be in the middle of a lot of plays.

wiseman's combined college and NBA minutes are the same as ivey's last year at purdue so wiseman is technically still a college player.

Technically speaking he's an NBA player and not a rookie. Sure you can talk about amount of games played and all, but that's the exact opposite of what technically means in this context, which is an NBA player and second year one at that. Now if he didn't play any games last year in the NBA he would technically be a rookie.

So I want to clarify that I wrote this response to an awful post effectively saying we should dump Jaden Ivey.
Jaden Ivey is a rookie. It's factual.
Somehow someone then appropriated this comment and attributed it to James Wiseman instead.
I've already written my thoughts on where I consider Wiseman's development to be. I don't know where that falls within the spectrum of being a rookie, etc. Feel free to search here to find it if you wish.
I honestly don't care to enter into a debate such as this; where folks have already made up their minds before, during, and after his first and only game as a Piston and have pigeon-holed him into eternity. Minds are clearly already made up and no amount of new information will ever make them conclude otherwise.

Re: Pistons-Celtics (7:30)
There are tons of rookies who don't get much in game time... its been like that in the NBA forever. Players make the biggest strides in the offseason working on developing their skillsets. Regular season is a ton of games that rookies often don't get to play in and also tons of travel. They don't get as much practice/gym time in 6 months of the season as they can get putting in work each day during 3 months of offseason training.

this is wiseman's third season and he didn't play last year.

sorry i wasn't really commenting on your post and more just poking fun at the "killian hayes argument", where time lost just adds to a player's untapped potential.

Ahh gotcha, makes sense, and agree 100% on Ivey.
