Our team is trash right now, and that was before we lost our best player. We have some young talented guys but they aren’t playing winning basketball yet and we have one of the worst coaches in the league. Casey’s lineups have always been cheeks, this is not tanking.
Just sit back, prey for as many losses and let’s get Victor!
It probably is closer to the truth than some might think. Casey's rotations even with the Raptors were bad opting play guys with stubbornness over more effective +/- guys that had impact. The answer would probably be both, that he's not great by any means on rotations and yet he's also for the tank as well or at the very least "accepted" that this season is not competitive. Which is more or less functionally coach speak for being on the side of the tank. Considering the talent Weaver gave him and with injuries, it should be fairly obvious what is going on to the coaching staff
It's a win win either way for the VW sweepstakes considering how much we have yet to go in terms of being a contender any time soon
I don’t know man, as you say even his rotations in Toronto were bad simply put. I doubt he’s purposely trying to lose games since that affects his future prospects as a coach. There is a difference between trying multiple lineups to give players a go at different positions or trying new things in the name of development as opposed to purposely making sure the team will fail with that as the primary objective. Sure doing those things will almost certainly result in losses since the team is definitely bad, but I just struggle to believe he would think to himself “how can I guarantee a loss?” each game.
Either way, pray for Wemby!
