#1 He's not trying to sell the job to a coach(makes me think most likely not the biggest name most sought after guys he is looking at)... coaches know what we have and he doesn't have to sell them on us. He's looking for the right fit and it might take 1 week to figure out or it might take 6 weeks he's fine either way no rush.

#2. Feels like the team's biggest need is a wing defender that can shoot.

#3. On whether or not Cade Cunningham missed a year of development being out.

“I think (next) year he’ll probably really turn his career. He’s learned process. He is such a great competitor and mental giant, but the young players that learn process, that’s how you step into your greatness. He understands process now after having to go through this injury. I see it, (Casey) sees it … how he’s grown.

“A lot of young players, early on in their career, that made them better. Whether it was (Joel) Embiid, Blake Griffin, a lot of those guys early on didn’t play their first or second year, and it propelled them. I think the same will happen with Cade. He won’t have an issue fitting in at all.”

#4. Jalen Duren not a player you can put a ceiling on... has a chance to be a "big time player" that is "really smart with tremendous gifts" Was really high on their draft board.

#5. Will celebrate if they get #1, but not expecting or planning around it.

The need being a wing defender that can shoot means Brandon Miller must be high on the draft board, or in FA the targets will be guys like Cam Johnson, Jerami Grant and Grant Williams.

I agree... it could be Brandon Miller.... or if we pick #1 or #2 it could be Cam, Jerami, Grant... or maybe even someone like a Bruce Brown Jr or a Josh Hart.

Best Wing Defender that Can Shoot:
Cam Whitmore Draft
Jerami Grant FA

Best Wing Shooter that can defend:
Brandon Miller Draft
Cam Johnson FA

Best Big Defender that can shoot:
Taylor Hendricks Draft
Grant Williams FA
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
