Give me Cam, Hart and Reaves.

I'll roll with Duren, Stewart, Bojan, Cam, Hart, Ivey, Reaves, Cade as our top 8

If we didn't trade for Wiseman and didn't overpay Bagley we could be....

Top 5 pick
Cade
Duren
Stewart
Bey
Bojan
Cam
Hart
Ivey
Reaves
Burks
Livers

That's a playoff team for sure. Livers and or Bey as your 11th guy out of the rotation some nights but hops in when an injury occurs. It also helps that Duren, Stewart and Hart are all good rebounders because we'd be a bit undersized but zero question that's a playoff team IMO.
That Wiseman trade is looking trash more and more. Wasted assets and cap on a lesser player when we already got duren. Would have rather had the seconds or kept bey

Our draft pick gives us 1 starter likely. If it's #1, PF is set.
Duren Wemby ? Ivey Cade
#2-Cade slides to SF
Duren ? Cade Ivey Scoot
#3-5 SF future starter

I see Weaver throwing all our money to Jerami Grant if we draft 2-5
Maybe if we're #1 throw it all at Cam Johnson

The odds are we're drafting at #5 not #1. #3-4-5 doesn't automatically give us a starter.

Yes sadly I just did tankathon simulator and it took me 30 tries to get #1. And almost every other time was #5.
Still, in a perfect world our 3-5 pick gets us a starter and so does our cap space this summer

It's still a 1/7 chance, you just got unlucky, also the odds aren't that we are picking #5, the odds are that we are picking 1-4.
52% chance we are 1-4 vs 48% chance we are picking 5th

Wiseman didn't just cost us Bey.... it cost us Bey and $10 million in cap space. We could have used that $10 million in cap space to get an actual good rotation player at slightly more than MLE money. Only a few teams have more than MLE money. Same thing goes for Bagley and Hayes really which is what I've been harping on this entire time. We could easily have $60 million in cap space this summer and a top 5 pick to add to our "core" with someone like Cam Johnson + Jerami Grant(or Grant Williams or Josh Hart, or Reaves, etc)..... we've got lesser players taking up that cap space now.... Weaver committed too much $$$ to borderline rotation players in Bagley, Hayes, and now Wiseman.

It's essentially a coin flip between picking 5th or picking 1-4. Wouldn't be surprised at all no matter where we pick to be honest.

Bagley and Wiseman have been low risk, high upside projects. We’re not going to hit 100% on these. We also decided not to overpay Bey and moved him while we could.

All that being said, I’d prefer to keep Wiseman over Bagley. So trade pieces for us is now Bagley/Hayes, and to some extent Bogdonovich/Burks.

Need to see what our lottery pick is going to be. Need Wemby or Miller. Then add at least one 3&D guy. And don’t waste cap space - if we can’t get a good long term free agent, then just do 1 year deals and keep our space for 2024.
