Blacks potential is just way more versatile then those guys and can slide down to the 3 as he's the same size as Whitmore and athletic.

Whitmore is 232, Black is about a 198 to 200 maybe!
Black is 210 this ain't the NFL you don't need to carry all that weight in the nba. And even so black will fill out

My thing with Black is more along the lines of lacking length rather than bulk. Like you said he will gain some mass in the NBA for sure. But he measured at 6'5.75" w/o shoes and a 6'7.5" wingspan at the combine. That's not great if we're trying to peg him into the wing defender role even just as a guy who rotates out there. Although it's not like Whitmore has a huge advantage there either measuring at the same height with only an inch longer wingspan.

Out of the two I think I'm definitely leaning towards Black but neither are real clean fits for the Pistons. Nobody really is though so... :dontknow:

Yeah I agree totally

Hendricks is the best fit and Whitmore too. Wenbenyama of course. Hendricks can just be a stretch four and we have one of the best stretch floor’s with Rachard Lewis in the coaching staff. We’ll see if he gets retained.

I’m a Whitmore or Hendricks guy. Black I could understand. Jarace just doesn’t move the needle for me!

I'm not a Whitmore guy. Out of all the potential picks at 5 he's probably lowest on my wishlist at this point. Walker being just above him if only because I don't see him as a substantial upgrade over Stewart in mostly the same role. I used to have Cam a bit above Jarace but I'm hoping neither are in the cards.

Ausar and Hendricks are at the top for the guys I want to see the Pistons take if they stick at five. Drastically different prospects but I like either one of them a lot for Detroit. It's unlikely Amen gets past four (or higher if Miller drops a spot or two) but he and Black are the next tier for me.
