Reports are that the Celtics want Stewart, but they have nothing to offer, so good luck with that.

S&T for Grant Williams would be the only thing they could offer.zeebneeb wrote:Reports are that the Celtics want Stewart, but they have nothing to offer, so good luck with that.

See, thats the thing. Stewart does things that neither Wiseman, or Bagley can do, so he is more valuable. Boston wants to replace Horford, which is what Stewart could turn into.Pharaoh wrote:S&T for Grant Williams would be the only thing they could offer.zeebneeb wrote:Reports are that the Celtics want Stewart, but they have nothing to offer, so good luck with that.

If they want Bagley, fine.

But if the belief in the organisation is that we'll take Walker at 5 and he'll be better than Stewart and a too much of a duplication do you move on from Stewart and get a wing on a reasonable 3 year deal?zeebneeb wrote:See, thats the thing. IF Boston want Wiseman or Bagley then even better for us but I doubt they'd do that

Bagley should be the first guy traded unless we get a crazy offer.Pharaoh wrote:But if the belief in the organisation is that we'll take Walker at 5 and he'll be better than Stewart and a too much of a duplication do you move on from Stewart and get a wing on a reasonable 3 year deal?zeebneeb wrote:See, thats the thing. I'm keeping Stewart and trading Bagley and Wiseman for a bag of stale Doritos, if you can get that!

So the only reason this makes sense is cap flexibility, Bojan has a team option and they would be getting his bird rights. That allows them to be players in free agency next year.Pharaoh wrote:Assume you're the Mavs:bstein14 wrote:Pharaoh wrote:Bojan for THJ & 10? Doubt Bojan has that kind of value

THJ doesn't have value around the league at his age/contract and also lack of any type of playmaking.
Bojan + #31 for THJ + #10 might not be that far off. Dallas is likely one of the most desperate teams in the league when it comes to needing to trade their pick for a better piece to win now because the clock it ticking with Luka... You can't have young stars like Luka be one teams that don't even make the playoffs. He was an MVP candidate(#5 behind Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, and Booker last season) the previous season as a young 22/23 year old in the 21-22 season.
Would you trade #10 & THJ for Bojan & #31?
How's your roster look next season then?
They need 3&D wings + a defensive big. Not sure how they'll go about getting them but trading for Bojan ain't it.
