I think this is our best move...

Bring some bad boys, going to work, Detroit VS everybody GRIT back and sign Draymond Green! 3 years 90 mil. Defense, Hard work, connector, champion, perfect next to Bojan. Plus signing him out right means keeping the #5 pick for Cam future starting SF who leans in Bojan and Green!

Cade / Killian
Ivey / Burk
Bojan / Cam
Green / Stewart
Duran / Wiseman

Sorry, but heavy pass. Physically Green is past his prime. $30M a year to watch his decline? Nope. We have cap space now. The best way to use it is get our missing young wings, even if we have to overpay.

Bring him in as an assistant coach in a few years? Or on the vet minimum? Sure.

I disagree. If these young guys are all about becoming a winning team in this league, then they want a vet like Draymond as a teammate.

Also, who cares what they want?

The moment I saw his opt out I figured he have supporters here.

Hard pass for me. Draft Walker if you want defense/toughness with some passing at the 4.

IDK, you ever have a job where one dude can make the place miserable? I feel like he would have that effect on a already positive locker room.

Plus he's a glue guy for a contender and not a top piece for a rebuild.

Dray is a head case old head bully whose on-court abilities are fading and will be exposed on a bad team. This is Ben Wallace going to Chicago outcome. Draymond thinks gse owe him retroactive pay for services already rendered.

If we strike out on Cam and Jerami Grant... as well as a few other tier 2 guys... I'd be ok with Draymond on something like a 2 year $50 million deal. Then you potentially have a very tradable contract as a large expiring in just a year you potentially could flip him back to a contender. I'd for sure explore other usages of our cap space first both in FA and trade but if nothing else materializes he could be someone that helps show the young guys what it takes to win.

I'd do 2 years $50 million but really only as a last resort. I have a feeling better use of our cap space will present itself.

Allen Iverson- Grizzlies
Patrick Ewing-Magic
Shaquille O’Neal- Celtics
Etc

Signing Draymond would definitely not be our best move.

It’d have to be an absolute last minute signing. And like a 2 year/$45-50 million contract with only ~$7 million guaranteed on the second season.

And that’s if every other option didn’t pan out

If the young guys are hungry to learn how to play winning nba basketball, Dray will not make them miserable. If having a vet winning leader who hates to lose does somehow make some miserable, then I don't need them on my team. They won 17 games.

He will be too expensive. If he'd come for like 10-15mil a year sure but this man wants to be paid.

15 million a year is about my max offer for Draymond. Can't have non-spacers filling up the cap sheet at this point in our roster's progression.

And signing Draymond would keep us at 17 games next year…

Draymond’s opt out is just so GSW can sign him for a 3 year deal to line up w Curry, but at a reduced annual cost compared to his opt in amount. He’s not going anywhere.

No to Dray.

Full credit to him being the way he is on the floor and I do get it but he's not worth the overpay it would take to get him here.

He should stay with them, take less per year to secure a final 4 year deal. Klay should do the same.

Their organisation & ownership group did everything possible for their guys. Time to pay that back in some way.

We all wanna see a franchise do right by their guys. Spend, maximise the championship window, make moves to win and win big.

The Warriors did exactly that.

Time is coming for their guys to repay that effort and put their egos aside.

You wanted to be San Antonio? Ok cool. Draymond needs to do the right thing and that means staying
