MJ sold his majority stake. Guess he holds a tad bit and has a say still. To me it makes way more sense to get Miller with Melo then Scoot with Melo.

Scoot is maybe a bit better of a prospect in the same tier but position scarcity is a real thing. Their have been some good scouts that have Miller over Scoot for awhile. Long 3+D players are just alot harder to find then small guards.

Scoot has a much higher ceiling than Miller IMO. I think it would be foolish of them (a rebuilding team) to pass on the higher ceiling prospect for need.

I disagree with the ceiling. What makes Scoot a tad better as a prospect is the fact hes such a well rounded safe prospect. Hes still a small guard that isnt an elite shooter.

A long 6'9 3+D wing is always going to have a higher ceiling then the small guard if everything falls right.
