Yeah, 9 and 16 is not 9,28, and unknown first. Good pass. Utah did get board favorite Hendricks at 9, though.
Didn’t like the pick, obviously, but I’m excited to see what Ausar has.
Happy draft day!

Yeah, that offer stinks.
We’ll never know if Weaver would have done 9/16.
My guess is yes.

Was looking through the list of the teams that owe future draft picks to each other and realised that we have control of Washington's second rounder both next year and the year after. They're almost certainly going to be the worst team in the NBA (or close to it) so there's a couple of useful assets.

Time to get back to old style Pistons basketball. Defense first.

“It’s all I think about, it’s all I want to talk about. Having that defensive mentality. I’ve never seen a team shoot their way to the top. It starts with defense. I’ve been saying it since I arrived, and I’ll say it till my last days here. It starts and ends with defense,” Weaver said.

But in his third year here we were dead last in defense. I'm hopeful all that talk will mean something this year but its going to take a huge leap just to get to middle of the road on defense.

I think Coach got what he wanted. Hopefully, there will be more changes on the roster to fit his style.
