After we go out and sign our big money FA and use all of our cap space, we'll also get a "room exception" which will be about $7 million or we could essentially give a 2 year $15 contract. Part of me wonders if Weaver will consider bringing in Westbrook with our room exception.

#1. Westbrook ended up getting Cade's agent after firing his long time agent. We all know we've been very connected to Jeff Schwartz players since drafting Cade. We traded for Bagley and Wiseman, and we also traded for and bought out DeAndre Jordan and Kemba (both Schwartz clients as well) and we also signed Kelly Olynyk (also a Schwartz guy).

Schwartz's other FAs this summer include Bulls Ayo Dosunmu who gets after it on defense, but struggled from three in year two after being great from distance as a rookie.... Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond, Dario Saric(who played for Monty for a few seasons in Phoenix), DeAndre Jordan, Dwight Powell, Harrison Barnes, Kevin Love, and Khris MIddleton.

I actually like Ayo, but we’d need to officially get Killian out of here to have any room to play him.

They aren't trading Stewart, it's just not happening at least not yet.

One of Wiseman or Bagley has to go. It's absurd to have both on the roster especially at their respective salaries. Before anything else, clearing the clutter and moving one of them should be the priority.

My biggest issue with Weaver is that he gets so enamored with pure talent that roster fit be damned. That's fine in the beginning of a rebuild because you want to collect talent and see what sticks but now it's time to put together a roster where the pieces fit together and I'm just not sure what this roster is right now. A good start would be ditching one of the redundant centers and using that freed up money to bring in a player that fits.

We do now have a coach that got irked with Ayton, and I can only imagine scenarios with Wood, who despite the talent, everyone has passed on, and nobody got better due to him. I think with Weaver's clear preference for defense first dudes, that's an easy pass.

I think you would have to attach assets for anyone to take Bagley. Maybe the Wiz will just need to reach a salary floor and you could exchange him for a future second (or my favorite kind of meaninglessness: a protected second).

i do like Wright taking over Cojo's spot.

They don't need another guard. Sasser is taking the CoJo spot.

What about Harrison Barnes as a vet signing? Haven't heard his name come up much, so curious what he'd cost. I saw he was making $18-20M last couple seasons. What about 2 years / $40M or something?

Bulls’ Patrick Williams

He’s still young and had a surprisingly high 3-pt% last season.

No idea what we could offer Chicago for him, but let’s figure it out.

ps - sorry to post this in the FA thread as Williams is not a FA. So we’d have to trade for him if we want him.

We gonna make a serious run at Cam. And supposedly us and Kings want Draymond if he does go back to Warriors aka he's using us to extract a better deal from Warriors
