25 wins, team still isnt well balanced and Cade hasn't played much in two years. If Cade plays the whole year we can throw a parade.

Ivey is a weird player and probably needs someone like Cade to lead so that Ivey can blossom. He's not a PG.

Duren, Bojan are solid and you will get production from them.

I honestly still see very few wins because so many teams are good. The bad teams are all actually getting much better. ORL, HOU, CHA , OKC, - who are the bad teams in the NBA now?

Welp, Collins is now off the board for trades to Detroit. June 30th, we'll see how serious the reported interest in Cam Johnson is.

I think he's gonna have a bounce back year there. I remember Lauri was literally in the same type of predicament.

Houston and Charlotte are still bad teams. Washington will be terrible. San Antonio is going to be bad unless Wemby really hits the ground running. Us, probably. Chicago, possibly, if they trade assets and rebuild as rumored. I doubt Brooklyn is good. Portland will struggle if they trade Dame. Toronto depends on OG and Siakam.

Of your original list, I expect Orlando to be solid and OKC to be good.

I said 25, but if they stay healthy they'll be more fun to watch.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Yeah, 25 wins is where I'm at as well.

I think some folks are really over-selling Cade coming back. With simple math and considering the Pistons have yet to add any significant talent, it seems as though some are projecting Cade to add as many as 15 wins. That's quite unrealistic. I realize its not a perfect stat, but Jokic led the league last year with 14.9 win shares, and there were only 7 guys over 10 win shares. I love me some Cade, but he's not making that kind of impact yet.

I also think some people are over-valuing Monty Williams as well. Especially going into year 1 with an incredibly young team where he has to start from square one and begin to install everything from the ground floor.

My 30 is only partially from Cade’s return.

It’s from a less ugly offense, better defensive personnel, and from a (blind) hope that we’re trying to win and will reduce or eliminate most of minutes we’ve been giving to truly terrible players.

30 as we are or 35 with Cam or Grant... in part because the East is just better (except for Washington). Charlotte adding #2 plus Bridges.... Orlando's young team was solid last year. If we play well we might be near Orlando, Indy, Charlotte, etc right at the 11/12/13/14 spots in the East with Washington far back at #15. There's probably going to be several teams in the east right in the 32-38 range and we could be right in the mix with Cam/Grant. Likely still one more year away from actually making the play-in.
