I think all this potential movement and salary dumping happening right now in the league, Pistons could make a number of small moves and come out much stronger with a lot more flexibility than signing Cam or Herb or Grant to bloated four-year deals.

WHo did you have in mind. And I believe we only have 2 open roster spaces as of right now which could change if we ship off or load on.

I would like to see Bojan moved. Not that I necessarily want him gone but don't want to see him waste what he has left here.

Hopefully Bagley can be moved. Front court is a mess. Odd man out.

Don't necessarily want to move Killian yet either but he is like a toxic relationship with an ex girlfriend. Plus I really want Jevon Carter.

Not sure how but I want to end up with Carter and trade for Bobby Portis. Add a Wing and call it good.

Upside signing Trendon Watford?

Probably don't need another pup on the squad.

It’s crazy how we don’t hear no rumors of the pistons with free agency a few hours away

this move actually seems prudent to me at first glance.

I wouldn't be surprised if Troy is just being smart. No need to overspend just cause we have cap space.

Told yall we're going to take on a bad contract for assests. No need to overspend right now.

Very likely. I'm happy too

Hopefully this means we have deal to move Bojan since we just traded for Joe Harris.

With the cap changing so much, I don't have picking up some players that teams are trying to off load. Especially when it is an expiring contract. Harris is still able to plant himself on the 3rd point line and drain 3s.

Weaver should be forbidden from making trades…cuz he sucks at it.

Bogey deal might be his only good trade
Diallo one was ok too, I guess

Fails the “take on salary” trades every time

Yep, if you were worried about us overpaying for Cam, this takes that off the table entirely.

I really really don't get this obsession with throwing tens of millions of dollars on trades that net us second rounders, particularly given the extent to which Weaver casually throws those seconds into trades that yield limited value back.

This is simply frustrating.

Yes, we gave up two second rounders to move up from #31 to #25 for Sasser.... in a move up that very possibly wasn't needed at all many projected Sasser to be a mid 2nd rounder. Now we take on $20 million for two 2nd rounders... I'm guessing Brooklyn may have also sent us cash as well. This isn't the first time we helped Brooklyn either we did the same thing taking DeAndre Jordan from them for some 2nds.

Bottom line, Weaver has no freakin idea on how to properly use cap space.

Terrible with signing guys…

Absolutely horrid on deals where we take on crap salary from other teams…
